insurance- who do you have and how much?

I have Condon & Skelly, my insurance bill comes to almost $500 a year, that includes the M35, M1009, HMMWV, M109A3, M151s, my trailers, my '69 Mach 1 and '65 Mustang, and my '78 Bronco. The more vehciles you have insured the less it gets since they realize you can only drive one at a time. They...

    cheep lockouts

You do want the axle shaft ends to have some support there is enough room for movement that could cause problems down the road.

M151 body that never got cut up by the military

A1 will have flat front fenders and the A2 will be sorta rounded with an inset for the composite light, that's the easiest anyway.

My Deuce on the road at last.....

Yep, these trucks are big and intimidating, but they're so simple. In fact, ya don't even need batteries to drive them, I had one truck that I'd leave parked on the hill, bump start it and just make sure not to stall it anywhere Lol

    @#$%& runflats question...

Totally agree, the 2 piece mag run flats are easier to get out. However getting them to balance can be a nightmare, the rubber ones seem to balance much better.

    Can anyone help this GI?

I've seen quite a few vehicles in service with spare carriers and fuel can mounts. Also saw one with a motorcycle rack on the back, that was pretty cool!

M151 body that never got cut up by the military

My M151s all started out as just a body. I restored them from the ground up literally since they were sitting in mud. I paid $800 for my first one but that was with a title. With the nightmares dMV can put ya through I wouldn't have paid that much, but that was also many years ago. Obviously...

    Bead Liner???

My friend Henry did the bed of one of his deuces with Rhino liner, it's slick though and stuff slides all over the place. He did it to kind of insulate it as he takes the truck out in the winter and camps in it

Appropriate method to SRW the deuce?

Jack Lee owner of www.milveh.com converted his truck to single, says it's the best thing he's ever done to the truck. Now if only he'd throw some nice big Michelins on instead of them dang civvy tread things he's got on there

If they only woulda built it...CUCV RAMCHARGER

A friend just got done putting a 12 valve in a M880 wasn't bad, but the suspension on the M880 sure needed some help. I helped out as much as I could in my spare time. We also put a 12 valve in a '78 F350 4x4 which was so easy I couldn't believe it. As another side project I have an '86 F350...

    USMC M37

Well, the best sources of M37 parts that I know of are Vintage Power Wagons (they have a website I believe), A.B. Linn, and John Bizal of Midwest Military.

    POWDERCOATING

Well, been giving a shot at powdercoating here lately and man I gotta say this is the most fun Ive ever had. The hardest part of course is prepping the materials, just like paint you will see grinder marks and scratches unless you're using the wrinkle or veined finishes. I'm trying to find some...

    Paint source

Kenny is 100% correct here, the Gillespie paint is VERY forgiving for the beginner to shoot. Now, with the enamel you won't have any problems with wear, but flat paints do not protect the metal from moisture. That's the reasoning behind the urethanes is that it forms a protective barrier from...
