replace with a straight pipe, new Cat, hog it out, clean it…its the owners decision as it’s a federal government violation to remove or modify smog devices for road vehicle.
this black smoke is a 95% a clogged catalytic converter, disconnect the down pipe from the converter underneath the truck….i see this on almost every turbo truck that I buy, had 3 last week, I’ve been pointing this out for years on these trucks.
very common, I did 2 trucks in one week not to long ago, but you need to pull it all out and asses from there, you have a 75% or better chance that the bolts are Finger loose and just need to be hit with some heat.
Look into the valley of the engine, the leak may be the injection pump and the fuel is leaking out of the valley drain, it exits just above the oil filter.
you don’t have your vehicle model and year listed so it’s just a guess, it’s also possible the drain back lines are leaking on the...
Any other box other than an S3 is garbage, the yellow label Nartrons are notorious for stuck GP timers, if that light is on? You are getting

edit: TSU’s are backwards compatible, the sign of a bad TSU is fast...

item 28 is on the plug, it’s a rubber o-ring

i just had a truck into the...
Understand, in order to check, you will need to remove item 27, that will drain the Tcase of its fluid, you will need to refill the Tcase after checking That the spring and detent are actually present.
A slipping transfer case isn’t the end of the world, some of your statements are assumptions on your part, but I’d rather not go into that, I’ve sold many many trucks into the EU, I can first hand tell you how they are broken when they arrive because of boneheads at the transport companies and...
Make sure the detent spring and plunger are still present, I’ve had more than a few trucks from the auction missing these parts because they drained the Tcase fluid as part of Demil and transport from overseas via the detent plug…some are missing the plunger, others missing both the spring and...
are you truly isolating the issue to the switch? 75% of the time, it’s the switch, but the TDM and cadillac valve solenoid make up the remainder…
What happens when the tdm is unplugged?
