New tier, any seen it before?

Michelin's are called tweels. They work good except for building too much heat. (EDIT) They only get hot at hiway speeds...

    Stinger Hitch Modification to Deuce.

How much weight can you hang back there before the deuce gets nose light and handles funny? I guess not a big issue as the deuce is so heavy and slow.

    HP and Torque ???

Probably should post up in the hotrodding forum....?

    HP and Torque ???

I'm sure someone has hotrodded these engines...like you said, more air, more fuel, some timing tuning, etc = more power. Go for it! My '95 (all mechanical) Cummins Dodge has a modded pump, bigger injectors, bigger turbo, bigger pipes in/out....434 hp and probably twice that tq. One downside is...

    HP and Torque ???

horsepower, schrmorsepower....there's torque too you know. The deuce prolly has several times the tq of the Cavalier...apples to oranges. Your 3500 is a much more modern engine with a much differnt purpose in mind when it was built. How many cubes/how much tq do they make?

This thing is really noisey and slow ??

I agree '95 is newish (mine is).The pre '94s are stronger, cheaper, simpler, and UGLIER. :-D

This thing is really noisey and slow ??

Yeah. I should have said "with stock tires". That whole post was pretty disjointed. I traveled all day yesterday on 4 hours of sleep. Sorry. :-D I dig the heck out of your truck. Nice and cheap, simple and useful as long as you're not a namby-pamby. Did you bedline/dynamat it? Sidenote ...

    Deuces in other colors?

Thank you, sir! There are some COOL trucks in that link. I like the bobbed custom crewcab. The red looks OK if you're gonna use it for a fire truck I guess. And white is fine for a utilitarian use. I think I'd go black or AF blue, or tan since I live in the desert.

This thing is really noisey and slow ??

...driving the wrong truck! sell it and buy an old dodge with a cummins. over 55mph in a cucv is crazy Best use of a CUCV is add big tires and use it for what it was made for...hauling stuff slow over rough terrain. If you want a modern truck capable of 80mph and comfartable, buy one...

    Tractor with a bed?

How about instead of taking one axle off a deuce you started with a tractor and put a stubby bed on it. Then you'd be shorter and still have 6 wheel drive. has it been done?

Deuce with winch snatch block ???

Hmmmm... Looking for a snatch block for my warn electric (sigh) 12k winch. From what I understand, to recover a stuck vehicle, you need roughly twice what it weighs. Also, when you put a pulley/snatch block on, it doubles the pull. SO I should need a 24k pulley. But I looked up the deuce...

    12.00 R 20 Michelin XML Tires?

Love them on my blazer. The thing is a beast. CUCV axles, Detroit lockers in both. Goes places it's hard to walk. Lots of clearance without a lot of weight.
