I heard on that the tube came equipped in all manual 6.2's. That way when the ip leaks, it doesnt drain all over the flywheel.
Odd that it is in your truck for sure
I bought Rancho rs5000. If i was doing it again, i would get the cheapest option like gabriel or monroe. I paid 45 each for front, and 20 each for rear shocks, from Amazon.
They work fine though, sure made the ride smoother. The rears have been on for a while and i haven't noticed them rusting.
I put in new front shocks on sunday.
Today i did an oil change
The oil light was staying on for a second after start up. Went from a Wix filter to AC Delco. Now the light goes out right away.
Still driving it everyday :driver:

The -20 tm has all the answers
Sounds like you described oil sample valve and oil cooler lines.
For the cost of a rebuild, why not take a look at a new optimizer engine?
I think its around 5600, and thats all new block and heads, forged connecting rods.
I moved a couch,
Then i played in the snow, i went sideways down every road i was on. I love that i leave 2 distinct tire marks and fishtails down the whole road.:) :driver:
Found a rad, front springs, and fan+clutch on CL for 200.. Thinking about grabbing it for 100-150.
Congrats, Cant wait to see pictures
Sounds like a lot of the work is done that most cucv owners have to do.
Watch out though cucv's like other cucv's for company.
If you dont need it soon, ill probably have one in the spring time
Otherwise they are dime a dozen of cl. Buy a 80's chevy with it, part out the rest and you'll make back your money and have tons of parts around.
18.. Did you go to college? I just stopped after a year and quit my job. I want to make my own money, whatever that means.
Im interested in your setup, ive only thought about it for personal use, never full scale high production. So is there any pictures you can show, or at least which strain...
Where abouts is it?
I might be able to go along with you if you havent gone yet.
Either way, poke every where underneath and make sure to fun your fingers along the lip of the wheevlwells to feel for any rust there.
Glad to see your getting a herd.
Second time someone's said that,
I should put a note under it "I didnt do it":D
I dont want to :deadhorse: over m1008 speed in another thread. Just drive and dont think about it, or stare at your speedometer the whole time to make sure you dont blow your engine. Everyone can do as they please...
HAHAHA i was going to tell you to speed up!
I like 65 and there are way too many arguments over it. Drive however you **** well please and dont worry about the engine blowing unless you have a bad harmonic balancer.
And i think all the speedo's are off by a little.
Put your foot to the floor...
Well said
I love the sound of a high revving 6.2. 3000 rpms is comfortable to me. I dont do it everyday but when i take the highway im not afraid to go 60-65. I think we are safe up to 4000rpms stock.
Some will tell you that is crazy and diesel cannot do it. But we are talking about a 6.2...
