    Stretch's Haspin road train

I've already done a brake test, comes to a straight, fast stop. With what research I've done, it's legal. (talked to Hwy patrol, and friend is doing same with fifth wheel camper and short trailer, he talked to indiana and ohio). Still going to be well under 10,000 lbs. Camper's 5500, trailer...

    Stretch's Haspin road train

Leave nothing behind! Jeep in bed of deuce, camper, and car trailer will have hillbilly racing tractors on it. 3 guys in the cab for 200+ miles, at 50 mph. YEA! Added a brake controller to the deuce to run the camper brakes. The car trailer has surge brakes on both axles, that have been...

    How often should I drive

Heck, I can't resist driving 2-3 times a month. Sometimes 2-3 times a week if I'm working it. I would recommend a decent (20 mile at least) drive once a month. Enough of a drive to get everything warmed and lubed. In the winter I've had sometimes where couldn't drive for 6 weeks, too much...

    Haspin 08, June 19-22

Yea, but a crane requires no plates to drive..... And unless someone wants to pay to drive a gas truck, that does 45 mph, at 4-5 mpg, 200 miles, I don't think it will be there. The deuce will have towing duty with a camper and car trailer.

    Bad lift job?

Thanks for the shorting Chris. Wish I could do that to myself at times... It does look like tubing stood on end. And someone is selling this truck to the public, I'd be afraid of an accident and lawsuit.

    Bad lift job?

Saw this on ebay, and to my eye looks unsafe. Would you drive a vehicle with this big of a lift block? http://shortlinks.net/lnw100 Dennis

    Prelube/filter adapter/Mech. gauge

Been busy this last week! Installed a prelube system. Pulled the oil pan, welded a 1/2 pipe fitting to a large washer, drilled a hole in the pan, then welded the washer to the pan. Pretty proud of myself, one pass with the welder and no leaks! Installed a check valve on the pan, to keep the...

The jeep JUST got fixed. New(well, different) motor, axle seals, brakes, u-joints, some wiring, carb, starter, battery, clutch linkage, shocks, repacked bearings, changed all fluids, and some other stuff I can't recall. So it should run...LOL!

I'm kinda of with JWC on this, but I'll play. Make a link in your first post to the original rally thread, should help. The more the merrier, but I'm not worried if we have 5 guys and 2 trucks, or 50 guys with trucks. I always come home tired and happy. If I see a bunch of people there...
