    Spark problem, oa-331(FIXED)

RE: Spark problem, oa-331 Got all them to fire temporailry. Left the cap loose, and by lifting it a little, had spark. Going to space the cap up a little and see what happens. Well that didn't work. Up to one dead cyl, the front one. No more time to mess with... Next step is new cap...

    Spark problem, oa-331(FIXED)

RE: Spark problem, oa-331 Yep, I knew that one... already traded plugs between holes with the same results. All the hole's have 120 psi. One cly that sparks and runs has 70 psi. All the plugs are new. Just checked the lobe for the points, it was okay. Managed to get one more to fire...

    Spark problem, oa-331(FIXED)

The M108 is running on 3 cylinders at the moment. Did a compression check and all but one cylinder is 120 psi, the other is 70, but firing. Check spark and 3 cylinders are dead, 1, 2, and 6. So I install new plugs, change wires, clean distributor, clean points and set. Still three dead...

    Findlay, Ohio May 16-18

Looks like I'll be bringing the deuce and M108 in tow. Got the brakes fixed on the M108 and changed all the fluids. Got plenty of used oil to burn, so sounds like a good time to do it. Be there sometime Saturday morning. Dennis

Winch drum in.. noone said how hard it was

Yea, sometimes you have to loosen all the mounting bolts to get it in. Mine was just an in and out, went pretty good.

    storage

RE: Re: RE: storage Just mounted 2-250 gallon fuel oil tanks up high on a pallet rack(rated for 18,000 lbs). Now I can just open the valve and fill up the deuce. Using a pump to fill them.

    Stretch's used oil centrifuge

I finally got a couple batches run. PM you addy Bjorn, and I'll send some to ya.(don't worry about the shipping). Okay, some may see this little invention of mine as a good idea. If I had to do it all over again, I would have built the motor driven centrifuge over the oil driven one. This...

    Westy & Michelle's wedding

Wish I could. Take plenty of pics. I've got 17.5 days of vacation, and 17 days planned on vacation already! Hope you guys make it back to a couple of MV events next year. How about a Haspin reception? :D

    Stretch's used oil centrifuge

I'll let you know when I get another batch run. Be about a week, I'll set aside some samples for ya. I'm not sure what will get filtered out. I was just worried about particulate size, as in getting 5-10 micron filtration. Hate to see my hillbilly invention shoot down, but I'll play. Dennis

    Stretch's used oil centrifuge

The pump is a lubriquip model 111, driven by a 3/4hp motor. (the 1/2hp motor died of old age) Belt driven to get the right ratio and GPM out of the pump. Other's are using power steering pumps. Managed to break the centrifuge. Darn pressure relief on the pump was set too high, had a clog on...

jeep won't stay in 2nd gear

My old man's 58 dj-5 had this problem, we rebuilt the tranny 15 years ago and it's fine. My 46 2A hasn't had any problems. It shifts MUCH better than dad's jeep, his shifts good, no grinding or anything, but my old jeep has the best shifting transmission I've ever driven. I have seen that...

    Discolored/shellaced(?) gas

As long as there's no rust or other crap in it, I'd run it. Had 15 gallons of old gas in mine before, didn't care. Maybe I need to talk to the salvage yards, and use the old gas to cut my used motor oil.

    6x6 performance upgrade question

Found out first hand how bad pinion brakes are for road use, on a lawnmower of all things. Open differencial, hit the brakes at 20 mph(not your normal mower), and one side locked up, pulled really hard that way, then other side would lock up, and pull hard the other way. Happens fast, and can...

Crazy idea for filtering used oil.

I gave up the washing idea, built this instead. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=10929

    Two Questions

Good info! Need to clean mine, pretty stiff. The one under the dash is the same, already cleaned/lubed it, and works good.

    Couple of the kids

Here's mine lined up. Nothing big, and one of them is a parts truck. But I still took the time to line them up! (about 6 months ago....)

    Multifuel winch on gas truck?

Nope, the gasser winch driveshaft is a really tight fit on the mulit, going the other way should be fine. I'd trade you a gasser driveshaft for a mulit driveshaft. Dennis
