My S-250 measures 48" at the bottom and my m101a2 measures nearly 46" between the wheel wells. Theres no way a 250 will fit a standard 101 bed without modification. It will work in a a3 bed.
Or one could easily remove 1.5" from either wheel well and widen the space by 3"
Edit: The S-250...
When you get a chance get some better pics of the front end and under the front.
You want to use the proper sheer pins. If you use something that fits but has any play in it, it will wallow out the holes. When that happens you break pins alot easier because of the shock-load from the play...
I have the vent cap on mine. It looks like this trailer was refurbished at one point, (new brake handles and a patch welded in alont the front of the box where they usually rust thru) So Im guessing the vent cap may be a newer item.
I had another one (that I sold) that has a vent cap and it...

Found that on page 2 of this thread:

Thats site specific. Some lots will let you drive it off, some want it towed or trailered off the lot. That does not mean you cant have a tow company tow it out of the gate to a parking lot then do the PMCS there and drive it home.
I'm going to try to do this without steppong on anyones toes.
There is a sale coming up with an ID number in the 10'000's. I do not believe that sale is a "scrap" sale and would be willing to bet you can get an sf-97 for any of those vehicles.
If your still a little leary about it you can...
That one is a little more tricky. I think the GL TOSpolicy hasn't kept up with the amount of Event Id #'s. There are sales that are "scrap only" sales and usually those will state in the description somewhere about "no sf-97 will be issued". But if its a single truck in one lot and there was...
If you do a search for "condition code" you'll likely find that most here do put to much faith in them. Thats Just a code the Mil. supply chain uses to justify turning in something as surplus.
No, your good to go. Lot numbers are assigned by location. For example, all the lots at Ft Riley are always in the 7000's but I know many members that have bought and titled trucks out of there.
Edit: the sale # is the event ID #. Sale # 1234 with have lot #'s from anywhere around 3000 to...
I've read and re-read this thread a few times and I'm a little confused.
Did the shop you had it towed to do any work at all on the axle after you had it towed there? When you opened it up and found the smell and the parts, was this done at the second shop right after you had it towed or was...
:ditto: When it happens the first time and your not ready for it, panic sets in. Jumping in and putting it in gear (5th) is not usually the first thing that comes to mind.
Dont let it get to you. We were all new at one time, it just takes a little time to figure out how the site is run.
Just so you know, it takes 100 posts before you can post a classified ad. You dont want to get caught posting them in the forums for sale just because you don't have the...
