I'm not a truck driver but I would think if your just pulling on the road you would want them snugged up tight. My father-in-law hauls grain for his local co-op and I know on his civy freightliner there is no side to side play in his fithwheel.
Which ones? The green ones you can get from Masrtercraft. Well not the full-on MRAP seat but a very similar seat in OD green. The MRAP seats you will have to watch e-bay and see if any show up.
When you say you can "tighten it up with the wedges". Do you mean the plate actually rocks side to side? Or do you mean the kingpin is moving side to side in the jaws?
All of you that conviently "lost" or "threw away" what ever the GOV wanted back, what do you do when the same fed that you talked to sees you using said item or pulling that "lost" trailer down the road? Whats your answer then?
We are still a nation of laws. We all read and agreed to the terms...
The rest of the story.
To the OP, if you want to do the work, then yes like others have stated, an A1 lunette will bolt right on in place of the A2 unit.
The surge assy. cant weigh more than 35-50 lbs. For the hassle of finding, buying and swapping the surge brake I wouldnt bother. If you want to swap the axle, fine, just disconnect the brake line and cap it.
Or find someone with an A1 in as good as condition as your a2 and trade them. Then...
First, we aren't (aint, if you prefer) all english majors so back off.
Second, as far as the camera. Yes there are places you can not take a camera or pictures. GL lots are generally NOT any of those places. (with few exeptions)
Ft Riley is a Historical Military post and cameras are encouraged...
I know your not new to the hobby. But in your posts you come across and one of those that would do just what you said. You buy a truck/trailer or what ever and if stuff was missing you would get GL to just take it off another lot and give it to you, or wander around on your own and "canibilize"...
I need the outer frame extensions and one of the frame mounts for the winch. The pic shows the frame mount that I need. Both left and right are the same so if you can get one that would be great.
I have family in SLC so shipping should not be a problem.
