I was going to say that some of these air embolisms are absolutley a PTIA to get out. Start of problems may have been filters but the air may have been the source of the no run condition.
It's heartbreaking to hear this but you never know when these things are a blessing in disguise. I know that "Proud" will be up and running soon regardless of the problem.
Getting over the "You want me to use house paint?" thought is difficult. You will look hard to find someone here who is dissatisfied with their paint using it. Seems to be the best thing going .

The fuel pressure switch in the filter housing can cause issues but the first thing I would try is to have the batteries load tested. Voltage is only one part of the equation.

It's also in TM 9-2320-361-34P. FYI, there are 2 common sets of TMs online for the deuce. TM 9-2320-209xxxx and TM 9-2320-361xxxx. The 209 series has about 11 books and the 361 series condensed it to 5. Unless you are proficient with TMs, I guide everyone to the 361 series for ease of use...
