You know, I started with an old '54 Willys pickup, then "graduated" to a M35A2 (several in fact) then a M54A2 then a M816. I am still stuck on the 5 tons right now but makes ya wonder sometimes if there is no cure, whats next!!:razz: (yea, I know 10 tons, HEMTT etc.)

If you need one, I have my M54A2 just sitting waiting for repairs. I can pull one off and send it out.

drain some oil out of the diff and see if it has chunks or junk in it. Pull the axle shafts and see if they are damaged at all. Then go from there on replacing anything.

If you are only gonna use it on the farm/ranch, see if you can get a "farm use only" registration. Not sure if TX has those or not. When/if they break down, who yea gonna call?

Get the one with round tires, square tires are not in fashion unless they are on my truck. :p

Make sure the stop cable has actually pushed the rod on top of the IP. Some times it gets hung up and does not "reset".

Go to the local DMV and ask what you should do. Then go or call another one, then call another DMV office. I called at least 3 different people at the DMV and got 3 different answers about getting a title with only a bill of sale. I used a surety bond or title bond here in NM. It costs $50...

The rims weigh about 110lbs each without tire. Nice looking setup![thumbzup]

Here are the TM #'s: 9-2320-260-10 is the operators manual, -20 is a maint. manual. Look under the resources section up top and find the tech manuals. There is alot of good info in them. Also your engine is a NHC 250, not a DHC.

maybe try cutting the air off to it and get in a spot to try engage it to see if it does engage?

My M816 has one and they had to modify the hood to get it to fit. Looks like a supercharger scoop!
