Simps- I would comment on your post, but last time I joked around with a fellow member someone got there feelings hurt and I got an infraction point, 40 hrs. community service, and I cant travel through Nevada anymore. So I keep it clean and sanitary--- like a hospital..

Ordered a new belt tensioner, new belt chirped off idle. Good news it's 40 degrees at the vent at idle. Once I sort the chirping belt out, I'll run it down the road and see how cold she gets. Overall not a bad job, but fitting the puzzle pieces together is what takes the longest. I'm ready...

I reused my old gasket and used no sealants. I did use glass cleaner to ease it back in place. No leaks as of yet. I did drill out the broken retaining bolt.
My local napa store sells what I call bodymans bits. They are 1/8 inch double headed bits, meaning the can be flipped in chuck when one end breaks or dulls. They are used to drill out spot welds on body panels. These are cheap and plenty sharp. I had good luck with these to start pilot holes.
