My led taillights that I have installed on 5 trucks have only had the white labeled wire listed as ground. I have installed the pigtail wire(that comes with the led taillight) and original chassis ground to the mounting bolt. No problems yet, what is the other ground???
Need the napa housing.. I replace the housing because 95% of the ones I've taken apart are crusty/rusty/nasty. The napa set-up comes with a new backing gasket and is a lot easier than sanding/repainting/rebuilding your old housing.
Ok so here's the deal. I've been paying big bucks for led marker lights..... So I will let all my brother and sister mv owners in on a deal I came across. You can buy new marker lights at napa part # 26313r1 is red and 26313y1 is amber. Made by trucklite at $ 9.78 each. Then I purchased led...
Wire fox- that is a mrap mirror mounted on my 5 ton. I downloaded the pictures under paint. The 5 ton picture is an old one, but I couldn't delete it once it came up. Sorry for any confusion.
They did exactly that (body work by forklift) I think this Humvee will be a good project for us. It needs a engine and who knows what else, but if it keeps him off of x-box on the weekends, it's worth it to me. He will learn what it takes to fix something when you tear it up or don't maintain...
As promised-- 1st picture is the three new lines ordered from kascar. The second pic. is of the clips that hold the axle vent line to the brake line. The third pic. is of the rusty, leaking old lines. Not that bad of a job, just tight quarters and tedious. I did win !
I will snap some pics. tomorrow when I have some daylight. I have everything undone-- I just have to unclip the vent tube off the lines. I wish I had a lift!!!!!
Found out something new today. AM GENERAL designed and built the Humvee around the rear brake lines. Currently replacing the rear brake lines going to each caliper from the union due to rust. What a M@@@@@ F@@@@@! Ok-- I'm done, just thought I'd share that.
Added one of these today. Simple install, took about 30 minutes, and cost $ 20 dollars. I did add about 4 inches of wire to original harness---- too snug for my liking. Napa part # ks 6180.
