I know I am getting older when I agree with you on this one. Although you could just put a futon in the back half and lay it flat to take a nap.
boy is that ever true, I drove one of these a lot when I was active. Going down the freeway felt like a dingy on high waves. It is coil sprung on all 4 corners and that sucker would rock going down the road. Almost reminded me of one of those metal animals mounted on a single spring in a...
my first impression of the front bumper mounts were possible anchor points for the truck to reduce any instability while set up as a repeater? Don't know for sure just my first guess.
am I lost or something, I have never seen a 5 ton with a hydraulic winch. I don't even think the 9 series have one (i have never owned one so I could be wrong on that one). Now I know the m35a3's have a hydro winch but I have not real experience with that setup. Too new school for me I guess...
Well I don't see why you would need more than one hard top if you are still planning on cutting out the bottom of the overhang to provide more head room. I would try to recreate the window channel on top and to the back of the window and use some straight sheet metal going vertical to tie the...
Do a search for bobbed deuce or bobber that will get you days of reading. I prefer the bobber over the standard 6x6. It a much better driving truck even with bigger tires on it.

I have been driving the piss out of my 920 in the snow, mud, hardball and everything else in between and am soo in love with this truck!! When things get sticky I lean over and hit the air valve and the truck just keeps on going, its a beautiful thing really, you are going to love it.
thats funny, I too was a 12B "Combat Engineer" for those who are not cool enough to be one. We were infantry with explosives and APC's. I know what you mean about having a license for everything, I always had a soft spot for the see trucks and the deuces. In my opinion, the deuce with power...
you could also do a semi extended cab deal and stretch the cab to fill the gap and then use the accordion gasket to seal them together. That is if you are concerned about aesthetics at all.
