those are international trucks, if you visit their website and click on Military it will show more variants, they have knuckle boom models and all kinds of stuff. I am really curious as to how they will hold up, the civilian internationals are not what I would consider "Military Grade"
The thing is that I know of trucks with no intercooler making over 400hp, now they run a little hot at WOT but managable. Can the cat not run worth a darn without the intercooler? I am not apposed to scrapping the A3 and adding a cta 8.3 with allison out of a donor but the main thing I want is...
If you are going that far with it then mount the steering box on the lower frame you are installing, cut and extend the steering shaft(safely with a sleeve etc) to fix the steering problems, or you can fabricate your own full hydraulic setup which will make the point mute. I have always thought...
yeah that is what i figured was the radiator and intercooler, I know I can find equally performing products in a smaller package with current technology. I like that the A3 has all the goodies you could spend a fortune to add to an A2 but the nose and headlights have to go. A body lift would...
Hey guys, I love the Deuce but it has some things to be desired, I prefer the drivetrain of the A3 but the nose makes me vomit in my mouth at times. My question is what physically makes it necessary to lift the nose like that? is it the intercooler and the radiator? the crossover tube? I would...
the best and quickest bet is to try uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Vehicles or Moves it like reverse ebay they bid down on each other for your business. My EUC should be available any time, GL has no rhyme or reason to their process so its very unpredictable...
what is your honest review of that trailer? some say you can't back it up and they hate it. Since I am making the 920 a pickup this would be the ticket for surplus tire runs and a bunch of stuff.
Yep TM for towing says to extend the bar out 1st to second hole for city, stretch the towbar all the way out for highway. Nice looking truck, I wish the 920's had the allisons in them.
she did say that they had to be affixed to the truck she said that installing the sleeper and bungee strapping the microwave in place is fine. She said that unless they get the feeling that you truly intend to use it for commercial purposes they are not too critical. For me that is easy since...
UPDATE!! I drove down to the state trooper inspection station and had a nice conversation with the inspector. She told me that to be considered an RV in Washington State that the vehicle had to have two out of three items. A designated place to sleep, a means to cook food(microwave or stove)...
Yeah I have been looking for a small sleeper to put 110v, porta john, microwave, and heat to meet the RV criteria. I was wanting to mount my knuckle boom and still have a 12 ft bed but I don't think it will be possible. I don't know how much frame you have behind the cab but with all that it...
this is from the states exception list:
1. Active Duty Military . . . with military licenses operating military vehicles.
2. Firefighters . . . meeting approved training standards and operating authorized emergency vehicles.
3. Farmers . . . in certain cases.
4. Individuals ....operating motor...
yep, I am back on the RV setup now for sure, the guys from olympia called me back and said that even if I could get the truck below 26k with it being a truck the gvw has to be the truck + 50% and that is how they rate it so a CDL is required. I will keep you posted on how smooth the RV...
I picked it up earlier this year, put some 53's on her, put a little money in with the intention of keeping her and realized this thing is way to freaking long! the fire dept cut and stretched an 816 truck 4 more ft for the water tank so I sold it to a farmer in ritzville who put a water tank...
Yeah sounds like the RV is the way to go, maybe if I spell out Recreational Vehicle on the SF97 they will leave it alone. Not to mention that with my business I intend to keep this thing looking extremely military so I do not intend on stopping at weigh stations anyway!!:driver::cookoo:
