    The original vin # was X'ed out and restamped on data tag but I believe the hood/usa # is original. USA # 4B4911 M 25240 is new number on data tag . Also there is a round tag tied to frame above front diff J 01GA7 M 25240 6 1911W 17 any info would be greatly appreciated...

    My 53 stude (which was converted to multi) has the bigger bracket with the glad hand coming through it. I too am looking forward to Mr Doyles Deuce book, because mine has very few signs she was ever a gasser

    Frame number paint stripping

    I have yet to find the slightest trace of any #'s on either frame rail on mine, and the original #'s on data plate had been x'ed out and restamped with new one's. David Doyle was kind enough to identify the truck by the Hood/USA number. Turned out I had 1952/53 Studebaker
