Good ideas!
And just like those van chassis buses, put a separate side door in the newly constructed cab area... no need to screw with extra cab/doors like extended cab trucks do. One on the side and a back loading door like an aircraft with steps inside that could flip down... That door would...
So, isolate it. I was thinking something like a flex joint at the back of the stock cab with some gap seals. Heck, seeing as how this is just bench racing, take that "MRAP" the movie guy built as the base... his walls sucked, his tire mount was non-functional, but it had a good joint, and the...
Thank you. I quit my ME degree 10 years ago because I was making more money as a manager selling autoparts, now I'm finishing it off as fast as I can to escape the "Rust Belt" or start my own company here. Maybe I'm finally learnin' something useful!
The "Hobbes Switch" is just an adjustable...
Yea...no worries... no bubble. I said I found this and thought it came from someone here, but couldn't find it when I searched.
Anyway, the roof and walls might be a bit better with a couple modifications. I have to think someone has built one... THAT is what I want to see!
It really wouldn't be that hard... That pic, for example... all flat panels... some 1x2 steel tube as structure... 14ga sheet bolted or welded to the skeleton... flat glass. The roof is only complicated if you make it some kind of convertible.
I think it's doable... just fat chewing here... I...
I did some searches and didn't find much... some camper stuff... so I think this might be new.
I keep looking at bobbed trucks... most are nice, but not really my thing. I found this picture a very long time ago. I am certain it must have originated here, but I can't find the thread it called...
My girlfriend just caught me eye humping the lockers and the $400 price tag...
My list of "must have" add-ons for the deuce I'm already blowing $4000 buying is not getting shorter. Maybe just one locker in the back axle. After the sandblaster/paintjob, water injection, and 395s... just before...
I was mentioning that to Dennis in Copemish... he had a "Paperclip" USMC truck right there, and he didn't seem to think much about it. He had never run into it himself.
I'm curious, but I know my truck is Army, so it's an academic question for me. I wonder if one locker in the rear axle would...
Remember when led flashlights cost $100? Now they are $5 including batteries and sold at gas stations. These LEDs will be dropping in price as well. Just a guess, but $20-$50 a headlight in the next year or three. (Provided the US$ doesn't drop to $50 for a loaf of bread before that.)
I wonder if the .gov actually destroys the logbooks, or if they are simply warehoused with some hope of recovery. Not that a redacted logbook would be of much use.
Back in the old days at the Air Zoo, there was no shortage of aircraft people wanted to donate, or even ones sitting around on...
The circuits aren't that complex... just break the dogbone connection before you close the switch to the 12v system/12v battery/12v solar/maintainer. But it's ugly if you flip switches the the wrong order and more expensive than just running a converter... You must have just missed my...
I'm curious why you wouldn't just pull a parallel 12v off both batteries to ensure an even load and be done with it. Current wise, the batteries don't know if you're yanking 12v or 24v...
Nevermind... I just thought about what that would entail, and what potential failures would be.
Converter.
I suppose if you really wanted to, you could put a "loop" under the truck with a big ugly muffler, and route it back out to the factory stack. Both problems solved... with a lot of welding.
Math:
LDS465-1a... .43lb/hp/hr.... that comes out to 2.6ml per minute, per horse of diesel.
That means, 100cc injector can compensate for about 8 extra hp of fuel.
1 gallon per hour is 630.9ml/minute.... That's 48.5 hp worth of compensation for a very small amount of water.
The "Small" 3.1...
