If I'm reading this correctly it sounds like you put 24V to the solenoid and rather than retracting and holding, if is bouncing back and forth.
If so there is something wrong with the solenoid. It should just pull and hold whenever it is powered on.
Can you send a picture of the internals of the...
Colt, what is your next plan of attack? Are you still in need of a compression adapter?
If so, I had machined my own adapters for the 802/803 engines a while ago.
If you want to pay the shipping, I'm willing to let you borrow it.
It just goes in place of the injector and uses the OEM injector...
The OEM is definitely very reliable. I've never had a bad one. I do have a spare available if you need one send me a PM, but always test first, make sure yours is bad!
You're correct. If its painted right at the top of the fender it means 17 PSI tire pressure. I've had trailers with TP 35 on them and several with TP 17 on them and I think a couple other pressures too.
I assume 35 is for highway use and 17 off road, but have to ask myself how anyone would know...
I suppose... either that or maybe the 900hz oscillation of the spring was mean to dampen any fluctuations in engine speed..... Humm..., that may have been the only "Precise" 802 ever produced.... as long as you only need idle speed and 45Hz??
Good work! These are the troublesome failures that are much easier to diagnose when you have your hands inside the machine instead of on a keyboard! :ROFLMAO:
Some of the strange things I've seen you would never think of telling someone to look for, without seeing it first hand.... Like the...
If you can verify you are bogging down at only 1500w then you are either severely wet stacked, have a bad cylinder ( possibly injector issue ) or perhaps a governor issue. Based on the black smoke an black goo I would say probably not a governor issue.
I would load it lightly ( 1000w ) and...
The Engine TM has a torque chart in the rear appendix, but there is no value listed next to manifold. You could either find a similar size bolt ( such as the crankcase door ) as a reference or simply tighten them within reason using 1 hand and a 3/8" ratchet. Those studs / nuts are pretty small...
Well, they can sometimes be very tight, but penetrating oil won't help at all because you'll never have rust in there.... if you do you have bigger problems!
usually a 1/2" drive breaker bar is plenty, no need for an additional cheater bar. As for torque, the TM is your best friend, it's all...
If you pull off one of the valve covers you'll find a small tube near the corner ( where the small 1/2 round dimple sticks out of the valve cover's edge. ) this tube runs directly into the intake port creating a vacuum path to the crankcase.
It almost looks like an alignment dowel pin in the...
I wouldn't worry too much about cycling the pump occasionally because the IP has an open return line back to the tank so you can't really put any pressure on the cleaner, but if you run the pumps too much you will cycle all your seafoam through the IP and into the tank and then fill the IP with...
Check to see if the wires are reversed on the meter.
When you first start it up does the gage go to the right or left.
If it goes to the left your wires are reversed.
I would not worry about lube. My experience has been that solvent is much better at dissolving any gum than oil is.
The clearances inside the pump are so tight that oil won't get into the needed areas anyway.
Once free, new diesel will provide the needed lubrication.
Because you rotated the...
Don't bother trying to parallel your 803. Get it hooked up running and test your setup and see where you're at.
You may find out that your fine with 1 803 a soft start on the AC condenser and a little common sense.
Don't over complicate your emergency setup for little to no benefit and but less...
Back to CT-Mike's question.
Converting the 005 to single phase is pretty simple.
Only thing to look out for is that in Sewerzeuk's video, his buss bar was a separate piece on top of the connection plate.
On every machine I've converted the buss bar was riveted to the underside of the plate.
If...
Can you maybe clarify or show how you have it wired up?
Are you running in 120/240 mode and putting individual 120V loads on L1 and L3?
If so, running an imbalanced load like that may be playing tricks on your ammeter.
Not sure what you mean by shop heater on 5000W pulling 80% on 1 leg??
You...
Can you send a picture of your VR wiring?
There should be stainless steel jumper bars ( barely visible unless you look closely ) jumping screws 1,2,3 and 8,9 ( with a wire on 8 but not 9 )
Then you should have individual wires on 10-18
So 1-7 and 9 should all be empty screws.
If you have wires...
Try not to get to anxious to test out you new system at full output right off the bat. Take the time to properly service and test the 803 before hooking it up to your house, just incase there are any issues. I'm not sure where you bought it etc. but if its from the auction take extra care...
Humm, very interesting. Since I'm not familiar can you explain what we're seeing on the graph? Is this a 1 day time frame? Green is solar production throughout the day I assume?? What's the red, Net usage?
