Lube the seal and threads with oil, hand tighten (good and tight).... Never had a problem backing a filter off ;)

I have a 5 ton if you need help moving it.... My tow bar is in the 5 ton... of course, 70 mile round trip @ 5mpg + toll is not optimal but it's an option of last resort if you need help. The tow bar itself isn't an issue, I can run that up in my CUCV... Are you recovering it from JBLM tomorrow?

So, noticed on the highway, steady throttle application, that it will surge a bit at certain spots.. Thought it was air in the line... Now, I notice a distinct lack of power.... and... now... going up a small hill, I can maintain power at low RPM, but as pedal goes farther to the floor, I lose...

You're taking this WAY too seriously.. :D remove the headlights/tail lights rub grease on anything you don't want painted. Paint. remove grease. :D
