If your dead set on 16's you need a 5ton. Or a ton of money and fabrication skills to get them on a 6x6 deuce.
I'll trade you my stock deuce motor for that 180hp one you got.
Sorry guys, bad news on the tires. They are 11.00 x 24 with highway tread. I didnt see them but he is certain they are military tires but they do not have the ndcc tread, he said they have the same tread you would see on a civy dump truck but they are tube type tires.
One is brand new and...
Where did you find that? I've never seen that before. (bolts pulled and tongue laid flat) thats even better. I have seen a data plate where the bolts are pulled and the tongue is folded up in front of the box and kind of holds the front like a stand.
The M105 will accept a spare tire winch off of a deuce. The M101 spare holder is a Mil. issue item, I think. I know I have seen 101 trailers come straight out of service with them.

Other than on the data plate, do you know what TM/FM/TB/PS or any other reference material that info is in? I have been looking off and on for over a year now.
What is "tilt" position? They are not designed to tilt either.
That bolt that "hinges" is not in-line with the frame. Even when you just "tilt" the trailer, it is putting a twisting stress into that point. Do it enough and the twisting is eventually going to crack that point. I agree that...
Build it, load it till it breaks, and rate it a certain % under the breaking weight. Thats the only way to actually determine what it will hold.
25" off the ground is going to be one low hanging hitch on a deuce.
If you search a littleon this site, there are a few home-built hitches that...
Correct. When we had our s-250 maint. shelter mounted in our HMMWV's it (the shelter) was bolted down at the bottom most corners to a bracket that was bolted into the back of the HMMWV.
If its just a short term thing until you get the link susp. in there, just cut the trailer frame 6" in front of the front and 6" behind the rear spring hangers and put the trailer frame under the deuce frame. I few of us run it that way, my self included, and its fine. Mine has not been in any...
Ive looked there also and didn't find it.
aua I know Ive seen it somewhere other than on the data plate.
This is one of those things that drives my wife nuts, I'll spend all day on here looking for it and not getting the yard work done.
You dont think they are watching this web site do you?rofl
Edit: while we are on the subject of this trailer and the manual, I have read the manual several times (at least the one I have,TM 9-2330-202-14&P) and searched the internet and I can not find a pic or reference to this "tongue...
:ditto: Thats the first thing that popped into my mind when you mentioned rebuilding the pockets. I see alot of trailers that have the pockets filled with trash that blocks the drainage holes and thats why they rot out.
Congrats on the new toy. I'd leave the lunette alone till you get home. They usually take more than a love tap to get loose, think more of the " I hate my boss/job/ex-wife" type tap to break it loose.
A few years ago we had several grass and brush fires around here and several of the brush trucks got stuck in the soft/wet pastures. They didnt look wet, it hadnt rained in a week or so and the grass was very dry, (late winter/early spring, before everything greened up) but the ground 1" under...
