not really, look who is selling it. it's prob been refurbed front to back. compare that with a modern unit, prob about 200k for a civi unit that couldn't begin to get off road.
I have sent out all the plates that are spoken for, except cajunm35 and I sent you a pm.
IS THERE ANYONE ELSE I NEED or SHOULD TO SEND ONE TO?
have you paid and not received it? if so let me know. I still have about 10 of them that need to go away.
I am looking for the steel plugs that go in the bottom of the tub for the goats. I need 5 of them and if nobody has them I'm thinking of making them.
anybody?
there is no way of doing this without having new seals made. and nobody on this board can afford it so I guess do the bearings the right way, the way rockwell designed them 100 years ago and keep whats working.
although the rpm's come down the load goes up. so you end up having to put your foot into it more. ie more fuel. so as tom said it cancels itself out.
I ran into this issue driving a powerstroke one time. I drove 60mph thinking I'd get better mileage. nope. it took way more pedal to keep...
also remember you have about 4-5k lb on each front tire. so unless it is some really hard ground those skinny ndt's will do nothing but sink up to the diff as soon as it gets soft.
it looks the shifter was swapped to the OD shifter in his case. what xcase are you going to use? 218 or 242? I have a new TCM and wiring harness for the 80E just no tranny.
if AMG could have not spent the $ to mod the std deuce hood they would not have done it. it's not possible. it was made wider for a purpose. the rad and IC are larger and that was the only way to make it work without making a new hood altogether.
I now have a set of these gears in hand and am about to install them in my truck.
Let me just say I hate to put them in because they are a work of art. all the machine work is beautiful and the roller bearing conversion is outstanding. I can't wait to get it on the road and see what it does.
6.2's are not being rebuilt. thats why the NA 6.5 came about. the 6.5 NA is the replacement for the 6.2L. the 6.5NA has been detuned to match the 6.2 performance.
