sailor, not attacking you...more of the driver himself but just making a note of it especially during the holiday season and when i just came back from seeing a offroad rig on a trailer being pulled by a large size kenworth even all new equipment, but WSP said trailer and truck was very near max...
I second jeepman, coming from a third generations trucker, trailers such as the one above or 'not' nearly built anywhere close to semi trailers. And a trailer like that should have an extra axle due to the poor design of how far back the axles are set on this specific trailer. Very risky, and...
Cliff-I believe that is it however that specific one almost looks like it is homemade but I could be wrong.
Everyone else Thank You for info. Will have to get the reinforcing plate on asap and also fix the ring lock ;-)
and once she sings you'll be hooked :-) When we bought our 'truck' (single) we started up another truck right before we left and it ended up being a whistler, long story short we went home with 'trucks' (plural hahaha) and indeed a hard top'd, heated, whistling winch truck is a nice find...and...
bashed in radiators...never ;-) now days it's almost worth paying the other guy for the truck you want and have him go through all the possible head aches and paper work...especially if you are not mechanically oriented, or if you are give yourself a test and you'll soon find out what you are...
and which one has more power? and how would i tell if the motor is from a 5ton rather a 2.5 because it sure does seem to have a lot more power than both our other trucks...
Call me stupid but where do I look to see what turbo I have. I usually see it right away but for some reason I'm not seeing it and haven't done so in a while so I needed to get a friendly reminded :-) Thank You
RE: Re: RE: Finally got the truck...with a lot of headaches.
all it takes is money :-) lol and a head that is capable of accepting a lot of head aches from time to time lol but all the fun, glory, and respect you get from it in the end, pays it all off...!
RE: Re: RE: Finally got the truck...with a lot of headaches.
Djfreema- all ok...we barely caught it ourselves...really...dont worry about it. Besides i really should've found the time to make it down there myself but just couldn't fit into schedule. No hard feelings, you helped a ton as it...
I didn't get a chance myself to inspect it due to all the local fires that we were having at the time and everything else going on and as far as preinspection I really didn't think I was going to win it so didn't think much of it. As to whether or not it was done before or after bidding I'm not...
went through 30 pages of the google search but found not one that looked like it...it was almost like a transformer looking vehicle, honestly...the only thing i could think up of was some huge unfolding satellite dish or something i have no clue....
DanMartin-whenever you'd like I'll actually be in town through tue then gone for a few days and then back for four days again so let me know. i've actually got the truck up for sale as well so let anyone know that is interested in one. Thanks
Has anyone seen the Hemett with some sort of unfolding device on the back of it and I mean huge unfolding device. We saw one going north bound as we were going south so couldn't get any pictures, disappointing to myself..., but was wondering if it something new, as I have never seen anything...
So we finally got the truck from French Camp:
Sun 1000 - We left Vancouver, Wa the start of our journey
2000 - We arrived at our hotel.
Mon 0800 - Arrived at the Sharpe Depot
*After arriving we checked in and were shown where the truck was at. We started from the rear moving our way...
odd turn signal guard actually means something
Unless someone has put them on themselves, all the newer trucks come with this style of light guard and if it's not a newer truck then it means the truck has visited the rebuild site or has been gone through for a refurbish. just fyi hope that...
