A torch might work here in the USA, but not in England. There one would have to try 50/50 acetone and ATF (a penetrant which 10 years later I still haven't tried after reading about how it handily beat all the commercially available alternatives) or a nut splitter. The latter I have used...
911, I never even thought about buying such things used, but tomorrow I can let you know what the numbers are on the ones I bought somewhat recently. Might even find the receipt for them.
I got the model numbers off a tool (not all that easy to read), looked at various sites to ensure that the...
Jubilations! After creating a berm with the plow, there was just enough snow to try out the snow blower. It worked.
While far from a real test, it did fling the little snow it could consume. Enough so that some of it ended up back on the roof it had fallen off of.Sorry, no action photo - the...
Brian, here you go. Float is a useful feature that I use on the tractor somewhat frequently, good for spreading/back dragging and such.
Don't think I ever used it on the SEE, except to allow the loader to conform to the leaky tires, but that's because I'm less bad at loader work with the tractor.
Thilo, my first thought was that the levers physically affect each other, but the fact that you had the cylinders off makes me rethink that.
Air in the system, maybe?
Brian, the loader lever has four positions. Normally it sits in "neutral", then there are the up and down positions. If you push the lever down some more from the down position you'll feel that there's a fourth notch. It's kind of the opposite of the neutral position and lets the loader move...
Today's lesson in hydraulics.
Had to play musical tires with the SEEs and naturally used the hydraulic impact wrench. Plugged it into the snow blower SEE and...nothing.
Okay, I forgot that there has to be sufficient air pressure for the hose reel circuit to kick on.
Once the rpm went up I tried...
Since you'd way over CGVWR with your pickup and the SEE on a trailer that can legally support the 16,000 lbs., wouldn't it be safer and easier to drive the SEE those 30 miles?
I'm sure you have good reasons not to contact GP yourself and find out where in the system your paperwork is, as I've suggested in the past. I simply don't understand what those reasons are.
Besides, if not having any paperwork on a FLU makes you a non-owner, I don't own a single one. Not even...
Hey, I can easily see myself screwing the backhoe up if running at 1,800 rpm. It took a few days, but once I realized that it works just fine at 1,100, or so, I found it much easier to operate at lower rpms with my limited skills.
I don't think you need any mechanical lifting power to deal...
Not that I condone drinking and posting, but should the thirst become overwhelming, I found the perfect remedy in the toolbox a while back.
Actually, I didn't even know what this lump was until recognizing it in a video on the "Unimog Tractor thing" thread three days ago.
It's a pump. A...
Welcome back among the living, Gadget. And I won't even make the obvious a bad pun.
Too bad you didn't resurface a few days ago, when I had two of the 'houses off to check anti freeze levels. For now, I'm guessing that the oil level should be about 18 inches down. Come to think of it, wasn't...
Correct you are, Bison. Somewhat recently I learned that one way to identify them is as FLU419.101, FLU419.102, and FLU419.103.
But it seems that FLU419 is automatically associated with the SEE, and then there's the FLU10344 designation for the HMMH. The latter makes some sense when knowing...
Okay, you had me fooled there, Bison. Your "45MPH OFF HWY 55MPH ON HWY" stencil obviously doesn't apply to a FLU, yet it sounded familiar.
Sure enough, there's one on my HMMH, too.
I even have one without any mention of off highway pressures.
But as you probably know from reading this thread...
