16 spline afaik are limited to the deuce, the five ton is considerable larger, I don't know the exact spline count but I talked to boyce equipment yesterday and they received two take out units today so move on them while they last.

that's a good point, my logic behind that was limiting straps, that way if one tire drops the other will naturally compress and allowing the air to move freely between the two would allow it to articulate with little to no effort and with shocks in place it would slow the travel so I would think...

if they are 2 piece rims you might have bead locks inside it which case you would need to take the center bolts all the way off to the the wheel to separate from the tire.
gottcha, what about the idea of cutting a hole in the middle of the 105 bed and then boxing it in to protect the hitch so that it sits flat on the frame of the truck? I don't know what you intend to haul in that but it should be protected just fine, you can even do the boxing at an angle so it...
