I guarantee you there's a section in the TM on adjusting the parking brake. There are (I think) two adjusting screws/bolts on the parking brake mechanism that you use to adjust it... you don't have to take it apart.

With the exception of lines coming off the vacuum pump side of the fuel pump, almost all metal lines going straight to the intake air horn are vent lines... and since the ole '37 was designed to be forded with minimum preparation, there are a LOT of vent lines.
Glad you made it home safely. A muffler helps a lot. Trust me, you can still hear it, but it doesn't do permanent damage. As for driving in urban areas: PLAN AHEAD.
Depends on what type of "synthetic" motor oil it is. If it's stuff like Amsoil (the original synthetic motor oil) and such, then it's "true" synthetic, while the quart-bottle-stuff that you see at Advance or Auto Zone or whatever that's name-brand (Valvoline, Pennzoil, etc) that is supposedly...
I know that the military engine can have the fuel pump and carb swapped for civvy ones no problem, so if you do indeed have a civilian engine block, getting military peripherals on there shouldn't be a problem.
The other thing to look at is the distributor. If it is just a standard, round civvy...

Might I advise driving around the yard and small, local roads before making any road trips? There's a time and a place for making mistakes in the deuce (the yard is the best, from experience), and in traffic is neither of those.

If you don't already have a muffler (which I presume you don't), get one. It makes it much more bearable, but you can certainly still hear the Multi do it's job!
