Excellent Idea, I am going to go through mine this after noon.
Funny you say that beacuse i found a hose clamp yesterday that was lose, a wire not connected to my alternator, plug in my transmission vent, and grease fitting missing in a universal joint.
I was thinking the same thing. Magnetic drain plugs would be great. Going to order some tomorrow from McMasterr Carr. Just need to confirm the plug is NTP and size 1"...
Thanks for the advise, was easy to get trans and transfer case vent insdie from cab.
Problem for me military used a plug instead of vent on my transmission so I need a new one. Does any have a napa part #, mcmaster Carr, grainger, or amozon?
Just remeber it's 40 years old. You drecripition sounds like a brand new truck though. Guessing around $7,500. That's what a dealer sells them for. no air assit or winch.
Good luck with your puchase.
Mines a 1971 and yes the high low on the transfer case is lever. The one that's always in the way. Also, mines air operated switchbsays in out under cluster
So you refilled and it dissappeared? Did you bleed each wheel? My guess is you have a leak or you have air in the system. Either way brake fuild does not vanish.
I like the idea, but because of what I had to go through getting my truck I would be fearful the list could be used against the hobby(recalls for inspection).
It's a fact poeple think I am nuts and have told I am Nuts. So I staying under the radar.
Good luck with your list
