I can tell the space is for noise polution. IE people around the airport don't like noise then restrict air traffic. I worked at the airport for 8 month last year at 11:00 PM the place is a ghost town because of the local city's.

Thanks for sharing your story. I just cleaned and inspcted my axle vents. Gues the trans and tc vents are next. I read a post that said to blow them out and use alittle brake cleaner.

If I had the space and ability to swap an engine I would get another GL deuce. A parts truck would be nice to have around. However, if my current engine went out I would pay a dealer to replace.

I had a similiar problem a month ago and it was the parking break froze. Drove foward a bit then reverse good to go.

I'm lost if you have a switch on the center of the Dash marked "in out" then it's air. Can you post some pictures? Rebuilt 87 sounds interesting would love to see.

I just lossen mine up top then leave the closed end wrench on it. Then spin the filter housing off. Taking fuel lines apart could lead to more problems

Bubbles? I just flipped the master switch, bleed the secondaries then the primary. Fired up the truck and checked for leaks. Found none and went on my way. I also cleaned my drain cocks and excersied them.

The GA DMV would not let me have an antque tag for that reason. Made me get a 26,000 lbs because they said I would be pulled over by the DOT and fined. Maybe I should keep the 26k tag. Thanks for sharing your story

Did not use the winch. I could have and glad I had one. Hill was wet and I started sliding toward the garage. Glad I waited instead of making a mess.

Does it have a winch? If so great price. After 2010 it's going up in valve by the way. Also, take a second to read up on your truck TM's (this could save your life!). If your brakes fail 13,500 lbs is not going stop easily. I think alot of poeple think how cool a deuce would be to own but not...

Would lockers be a better alternitive? All the emergency equipment i saw in Destin Florida had wide tires on it. I belive the theory to to displace as much weight as possible. There by keeping the truck from sicking.
