I asked about that when I first joined... Was still told no..
I believe it's a contractual issue for revenue generation on the site...
Just like they have govliquidation.com ads but don't allow us to post links to GL.
My M1010 alternator looks like it'll work....
Need a bushing to take up the slack (~3 inches too short), and a pulley...
I'm not finding jack %&% on the swap, only people saying 'do it'..
So, I need a part # for a pulley, at a minimum... which I spent 4 hours searching for... and can't...
Armor is scary. There is no real threat as anyone could buy an armored truck for less than one could buy an uparmored HMMWV or MRAP at auction..
No reason someone can't up armor their own rigs... AR500 plates are fairly inexpensive..
So, I noticed my M934 starting slower and slower... and noticed the gauge was in the red...
Went to go check the alternator and both belts were gone...
Then I noticed the pulley was loose...
Pulled the alternator, and realized the pulley and shaft index points for the key were pretty hosed...
Slept in the cab? Lol. Took me a week driving my M934 from Bragg to Lewis...taking it easy.... mattress and sleeping bag in the back..heheh
.
I too had a tire issue..... drivers side rear rear.. (rear axle, drivers side, outboard tire)..
Ugh.
Pulled the alternator off...
Keyway on the pulley and shaft were toast.. used a bigger key and wedged it in there for short term fix..
Got the alternator back in...and promptly sheared a bolt on the regulator housing...tried soldering...no joy... tried drilling it out....no joy...
Started up the M934.. Been noticing that the last couple of times, it's been starting slower and slower.... then noticed that the battery meter was in the red.. Whoops!
Checked the batteries, seemed fine albeit low on juice.. tapped gauge.. no change... Pulled out my multimeter, about to check...
Factory setup has a fuel heater, and water in fuel sensor. That spin on has neither. You should see 2 plugs on the firewall hanging near the rear of the intake...
Used 1/4-20 screws through the rear..with a threaded coupler on the outside... and the sign screws in with 1/2 in. 1/4-20. So the signs can be added/removed in 10 seconds. Used the existing nuts on the bottom to secure the convoy sign...
Depends.
The M1010 was the bastard child of the CUCVs , IMO.
By this I mean they were never really used for their intended purpose, and reused/modified, then surplused to any police/fire agency that wanted them for free..
That being said, it's hard to find them in good condition with original...
