If you run your tires at max psi and your not loaded down all you'll do is wear out the center of the tread faster and make the ride more harsh. On round tread NDT's thats not gonna matter much but if you have a tire with a squared off tread area you need to run the psi so the tread sits flat...
Are you sure about this? All the 5ton winches I have seen both with and without the level wind and they all spool over the top of the drum.
I searched the TM's that I have on hand and could not find where it said which direction to spool the cable but the all the drawings I could find had the...
yes, they incorrect descriptions. you can never trust GL's descriptions. You must go preview or at least go by what you see in the pictures.
On a side note SteelSoldiers has rules about posting active or up-coming auctions, you may want to delete the links. Just go to the GL website and...
M116 is basically the trailer frame with out any bed or box on it. As far as 8lug you'll want an a2 or a3. The problem is that many, many times the military unit may have replaced parts along the way so its very possible to end up with an a2 data plate trailer with a3 parts.

:ditto: Hope no one took my post as a knock against DH.
For all that he has to put up with I think he does an outstanding job. If any of us had to do it I'm sure we would be just as testy at times.
Edit: My ditto was for PB, I just type to slow and zout got in there before I could get it...

The Needles hiway is about 7-10 miles from my mom and dads house. (Actually one can see the needles from their front yard) If you want to see something impressive go in the summer time and park at the needles eye parking area a watch the tour bus drivers squeeze those huge busses thru the...
What happens if the brakes work in the yard but decide to quit when your on the road? If you (any new deuce owner)have never driven a truck that size and are completely unfamiliar with it do you think you're prepared to get it stopped in an emergency? A 13,000lbs truck with single circuit...
