Are you running duals in the back with your 395's? (edit: after re-reading your post Im guessing you meant the tires would rub from one axle to the other) I hope thats what you meant.
I agree with the mods deleting the whole thread rather than deleting just the offending posts. That way maybe people will learn to behave. What I mean is if there is a good thread going on and someone comes in and makes a stupid post everyone will learn to ignore it and move on rather than...
I believe those are set up so the new plate is held in place by the rim bolts it can be bolted on either the front or the back side, not inbetween. If it was in between it would have a hard time holding air.
As far as the hub flip I cant tell you for certain but I bet you dont have to flip them.
All you need is the soft top and the assorted hardware that goes with it.
Edit: if you buy a soft top it usually does not come with the hardware. You'll need to find that from a parts truck or one of the many surplus dealers
Do CUCV's come with lockers in the front? Im pretty sure unless it has a locker in it the differential will let the inside and outside wheels turn at different speeds. (unless the oil is so cold and thick that it wont allow it, but I bet it would be warm enough after just a few miles of driving...
I see the "RTFM" thing as a training issue. The more threads where guys tell people to read the manual will help the new guys from asking the same question that 10,000 other people have asked. The manuals are available on many different websites.
Bobbing a deuce will reduce the amount of hauling it can do. If you think about it if you cut off one axle and make the bed shorter the truck is naturally goiing to be smaller.
I suggest going to the deuce forum and the deuce hotrod and mod forum and just start reading everything you can.
That’s why I very seldom criticize anyone on the rules anymore. Its usually NOT the OP that gets offended its more often someone in the peanut gallery.
