Your variable is going to be the tires. The frame on the M37 will handle up to 1.5 tons. I know that it will accelerate up to and hold highway speeds with over 1 ton in the bed.

That would probably work. Depending on what you want to haul, you could just use something like a tank off of an A/G sprayer. Especially since you've only got 6 foot of frame to mount it on.
