    Bidding on a M105 or a M332 ??

Okay, torn between bidding on a M105 trailer, or a M332 ammo trailer. Not sure which one is best. The M105 has a higher clearance, but it's not like I'll ever utilize that feature. More cargo room, but MUCH higher off the ground. The M332 trailer is lower, but not as much cargo space. Also...

    My update on Gumby project

Okay, got a lot of little projects donw on the M725 in the past week. Routing vent lines, installing most of the exhaust components, rebuilding the inside of the doors so that the windows rolled up and down, etc. For those who want an exercise in futility, try tearing apart a M35/M37/M725...

    Found boarding ladders for $35

Found a source for used boarding ladders for $35. They are used, a little rusty but not bad. Thought I would post in case anyone wants me to pick one up for them.

Old vs. New M725 dataplate - which do you like?

Torn between two data plates for my -725. One is the original, the top one in the pic. Not bad condition but a little faded and some scratched. Bottom one was from mvdataplates.com and is real shiny and new, but the information looks weird, like it was written by hand by a 10-yr-old. ...

Towbars in Oregon - look at this pic!

Found this pic over at M715Zone.com, apparently someone found a MV junkyard out there and found these for $225 a piece:

M715 video rescueing two civvy trucks in the mud pit

Found this video on YouTube. Shows an old M715 extracting a Jeep ZJ and a Ford Bronco outta a mud pit at the SAME TIME. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3vL9RGJ3ek This is where I would've gotten outta the -715, shook the other truck's owner's hands, and said "Get a real truck."

    Crazy Mohammed's Used Military Trucks!

In Iraq, all Crazy Mohammed's used deuces are HALF OFF! I'd say that "I hope our drivers were okay" but this looks so bad I would doubt it....

MadDawg joins the ranks of deuce owners!

Well, went in with a friend and bid on about 10 trucks (knowing we'd only get a couple) and won two deuces in the lots available in PA in auction 2912. We screened stuff in Mechanicsburg and Chambersburg PA, but at the Mech. site our government escort would not allow us to start the trucks, so...

Custom machining of parts for M725 project?

Depending on what I decide to do with my ambulance once it's done, I might be looking at a radio and antenna installation in my rig. I have discussed this installation before, however, I did not discuss where I am to get a couple pieces of 3/8 inch aluminum, cut to the size I need, and with...

WVO for Dummies - need clarification

Okay, I apologize if I am beating a dead horse, but I am stupid and need someone to answer some questions about using WVO as fuel. I am helping a friend get set up with the purchase of several deuces, and he would love to power them with something cheaper than normal diesel. Any help...

Source for rear sling lifting bars for the deuce?

I have a buddy who isn't on the site, needs a set of sling lifting bars (the big heavy bars that go from the rear spring packs outward to the loopholes on the bottom sides of the bed, used for slinging the deuce from a chopper for airlift) for his restoration. Anyone know where to find these...

    M76 Otter pics and information

Thought I would start a thread once in a while on a uncommon vehicle and see if we can get together and exchange pics and information on in, kind of a quasi-vehicle show on a specific vehicle type, if you will. Anyone got any pics of M76 Otters out there? These are the tracked amphibious...

    Pics of crew cab deuce?

I remember a while back there was a crew cab M35 that was built, sold TWICE on eBay. Anyone get pictures of this rig, and can you post them? Thanks,

What are these front bumper clips for?

Saw these on a GL deuce, but I have seen them on other deuces as well. Notice the straight pieces of rebar-sized metal rod welded to the front bumper on this deuce? They are just outboard of the lifting shackles. On the deuce I have seen up close, they resembled the "paper clips" on Marine...

    The Official Post-Haspin Pic Thread!

Okay, thought I'd start this up, to get everyone's pics in one thread. I got back at approx. 10:30 Sunday morning. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but had some family business to attend to on this end. Trip took 9 hours each way, no problems. I was glad I was able to meet some good folks up...

9.00x16 and 9.00x20 tires at Colemans - CHEAP

Tom told me on Friday that Colemans is going to start selling a stock of 9.00x16 NDT tires in good shape with plenty of tread, mounted on M37 rims, for $75 a piece. Also, they have a stockpile of 9.00x20 NDTs, not on rims, for $50 each, also with plenty of tread. I also saw some 11.00x20s in...

Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, Carlisle PA August 3-5, 2007

I was planning on reserving a spot for my ride (yes, I should have it completely done by then). They try and put all the same club members together, you reserve as a club member, and other participants with the same club get put in the same row grouped up. Anyone else in the PA/MD/VA area want...

installation of GRC-160 radio set in my truck

I am planning on installing a GRC-160 radio set in my truck when I am further along this summer. For those not familar with it, the GRC-160 is the PRC-77 with a AM-2060 amplifier/power supply mounted on a MT-1029 mount. Same freq range as the PRC-77. If I have the above set, what parts would...

Hooking a 24v military horn up - what connects where?

Am about to install a military 24v horn on my truck, the two lines in are stamped with ID for the wiring harness, but the horn has no markings showing positive or negative, A or B, nothing. Is there a difference which wire I plug in where on these horns?

Going to Coleman's next week. Need anything?

I will be taking a trip up to Coleman's Surplus in central PA next Friday. Saturn Surplus is nearby. Does anyone need anything up that way while I am up there? I don't have a lot of cash to play with, but I can pick up smaller items and hold them for a spell...
