Sounds like the guy is trying to barter with you or use the truck to offset the job cost? If you click the Gov Liquidation add on the top left hand side of the page I am fairly sure you will be able to find a 5ton truck in Alabama or Georgia for less.
Others are probably more knowledgeable on this topic but it seems there are missing variables from your equation such as how far and what type of road conditions.
I don't dog my truck out, nor am I reving in neutral and slapping it in drive trying to spin tires. I could care less about that, but I do notice that the tires bark a bit off the start. My truck seems to have plenty of power, I found it odd that some guys are having power issues that's all.

Hey those are rare items! Well worth whatever you have to bid to win, those are BAT-D trucks! used for Battlefield Deception when seen from above by airplane or satellite they appear to be working trucks, they don't need engines and such to serve their purpose.

Most of you here on SS don't know it but I support my mother who is no longer able to work, for this reason we do not get to do to many fun events. This was great for my family it was something that we were able to do as a family and it only cost us a tiny bit in fuel cost. Thank you...
Just changed the oil in the M1008, my wife has been on me to get that done. The trip motivated me to finally do it. lol I'll be packing tonight so we won't have so much to do in the morning. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
