    PNW Info Thread!

Saturday at 1100 at Eagan's Big Tom in Tumwater. The address is 6400 Capitol Blvd. Tumwater, WA 98501. If that meets with the approval of those that can attend. I plan to be there. I stopped today and talked with them about the possibility. Their parking lot is big enough. Other questions...

    PNW Info Thread!

If we meet at the restaurant about 1100, there will be plenty of time for those that have a need to head to Brad's. Coug had suggested the 4th, 11th, and 18th. My choice is for 11 or 18, but how about some others weighting in.

    Olympic Flight Museum Miltaria Show

I have a sale table too. You know me, everthing I have will fit on one 8 foot table. Am working on doing a two table display for the annviersary of Operation Market Garden and the 17th AB's participation in that event. Met a man last weekend and his father was a 17th man, he had some things...

    Olympic Flight Museum Miltaria Show

Got a note from the Musuem Director today and she asked for a small write up about Steel Soldiers for a newspaper article about the show. I asked if she wanted me to tell the truth about you guys or give her something suitable for publication. :) So hope we are going to get a good turn out for...

    PNW Info Thread!

Josh, which exit off I-5 do you take to get to Brad's? Big Tom's restaurant for the burgers is off exit 101. My guess is you take 86 or go up to Marvin Rd, which must be about 111. Anyway you are close, get a burger and head over to Brad's.

Coug, Scott, For the mini run,How about the 11th or 18th and there is a hamburger joint, just a couple miles north of the Olympia airfield. It is big Tom's drive in, they have a big enough parking lot that we shouldn't have any problems, meet there, eat, and go to the OFM parking lot and check...

    PNW Info Thread!

So what is the trick for seeing the prices, besides being the successful bidder on a particular object? Do you need to be registered for the GL site? Or do you have to wait till the last minute and see what a piece goes for? Sounds like some picked up some parts they needed today. Way to go team.

    PNW Info Thread!

Coug, thanks for the reply on the desert truck. Was thinking I need one of those for the fleet for Desert Storm Displays. My M54 is a Desert S. veteran, but it is still painted woodland camo. Besides, don't have room to park another one.

    PNW Info Thread!

Hey WSUCoug. Any idea what the desert painted truck went for? The weather really messed up my schedule this week and I didn't pay attention to the auction. But it was probably most self preservation for me, here at the house.

    Battery cutoff switch

I fried two of the cutoffs with the screw on green cap in the M38A1. I think I had it between the two batteries, in the normal battery box location. Once I took them out, no problems. On the M54, they took the regular dash flip switch, replaced it with a cat keyed switch on the dash and put...

NOS USMC M1028 from Norway Storage

Having worked with my dad in my youth, to take a dead stock, rust free, 600 mile, M38A1, and fixed it up, I understand where he is coming from. We re-springed it wide tires, saginaw steering, balanced and blue printed 289, full cage, racing seats, and seat belts, painted it black over the...

NOS USMC M1028 from Norway Storage

Have you gotten that truck jacked up yet? It has been interesting to follow the original or modified debate. One thing that you will always have that none of the rest of us can say, is that in 2011, I owned the finest, original M 1028 in the country.

    Jack Tomlins/Boyce Equipment trip

I used to teach some classes in Salt Lake and would go spend evenings eating hotdogs or burgers, listening to stories, and touring the site. At the time I had a hankering for a 60mm mortar for display and he opened one door and there was a pretty good stack of base plates and he wasn't ready...

    1952 M100 Military Trailer - Need Rim

Do you have any pictures of any other markings on this trailer? I was wondering from the blue is this wasn't some Air Force variation trailer. Any of the 16 inch jeep rims will fit this trailer, but the M38 or M38A1 would be most proper. Nice looking M100.

    M886 power steering help

Thanks for the tip on this. I have an M886 and have been considering upgrading to Power steering and have been looking at a donor truck that is 2wd. That would have been a bugger to get it installed and found that it didn't work right.

    Jack Tomlins/Boyce Equipment trip

If you haven't had the chance to visit Jack's place in Tooele UT, if you are interested in military stuff, you definitely have to go there. It has been about 8 years since I was there and it was amazing. Some of those railroad cars date to WW1 and they are military, so you could get one and...
