What transmission does the M35A3 use? I was wondering how they keep the road speed up with the slower rpm motor's.
Anyone know how they set up the winch? I think it is hydrualic, but where do they install the pump and controls?
I am very interested in possibly speeding up my deuce... Bigger tires are one option, but I want to keep duals in the back, and don't want to make the truck wider by flipping the hubs. The way I understand it the only way you can dual 11's is to flip the hubs for clearance beside the springs...
Sounds good to me... As you know, I wasn't happy with some of our neighbors. Need to get them to close off a back area for us. I also need a quieter generator!

Deathmower? Sounds better than racing mower....
Finally home.... Lots of work, but a good time! It POURED when I was packing up today.
The deuce did great, I did stick it, but then I was trying too! The willys got stuck 2 or 3 times, but was going where the newer jeeps couldn't. Didn't...
Grrr.... Just getting ready for this trip is an adventure! Managed to run a broken drill bit into my finger, that required a hospital trip. NOT something that I normally do.... And making sure everything is going to work takes some serious time.
Plan on leaving between 7 and 9 friday...
Everything... Deuce, jeep, couple of hot-rodded yard tractors, camper, ton of tools, generator, A/C.....
Right now in Flordia, with a hurricane named after me!

I will keep the splined set in the truck, with my old impact for installing. No dirt roads around here, I haven't had to engage the front axle yet.(except to make sure it works)
To my way of thinking, I would rather have the axle not spinning. I realize the chances of me wearing anything...
Thanks for the info. Got them all repacked, new seals, and one new bearing. Had to rebuild the front wheel cylinders. After I adjust the brakes, should be good to go for Haspin.

I searched the forum, and through my manuels, but can't find the settings for wheel bearings. How far do you tighten the spindle nut, or what torque? Or is it set the same as a car, tighten, the back off a 1/8 of a turn?
Dennis
I tried to search for the napa #, but can't seem to find it. Anyone know the napa part number for the whole wheel cylinder? I have #45 kit for a rebuild.
