The 100 amp cadi alt is the same one you took out from the 24v system ;-) the only difference is the CUCV alt has an isolated ground terminal on the back. If you still have your CUCV alts left, you can use them for anything, you just need to run a ground wire to that terminal....

Silly question, but did you try to adjust your clutch? Is it possibly adjusted too tight? I know when I picked up that 109 last summer, the clutch would slip when you really got into it with torque. When i pulled the pin out of the clutch linkage, it sprun back bigtime...
I think I managed to do mine without even pulling the brush guard. Chainfalls make it really nice!! I had to remove mine to repair it when the back & top plates sheared.... (dont ask)
