I still have all the parts and several M1009's in storage. So I hope to someday. I will post pictures when I do. But it will get kicked to the side as Hot Rodding and modification. Not sure yet as to when I want to dive into that project. I still have the parts. Want to buy them?
You could pull the old one out and replace it with a block heater. Or pull the steel ones out and replace them with brass or expandable rubber plugs to make it easy. Good Luck. I had a tool for installing them. I lent it out and the man died. I never went back looking for it.
Last night I struck a deal with a gentlemen. He has purchased the Mule M1009. It will be leaving at the end of the month. I will be returning it to an M1009 again. I am happy to pass it along to someone that will care and appreciate it as much or better then I have over the years. I still have a...
I seen that was missing in the picture. I was assuming you were showing that the slotted hole gets used with the peg and not the round hole. Good Luck.
I love my home owners association. I am the president. As long as you don't burn trash or play rap/country music all is well. I may add no lift kits to the new bylaws just for the fun of it.
Beautiful day in the neighborhood. https://youtu.be/lbsIZIX4BPo
When will the madness stop? This is my latest project. To clean up the bottom side of the cargo bed and undercoat it. So much fun here in Jonestown. The geniuses ordered the wrong U bolts for the rear axle. They never allowed for...
The bastards...
I resemble that. I don't let any of my tenants work on cars on any rental properties. Been there and done that. Hauled 2 truck loads of tires wheels, engines, transmissions, axles and all from one property. Hidden in woods. After that no more. I always tell everyone. The...
Well at the current rate of recycling they could quit mining for a few years. Recycling of metals is at an all time high. And with the current plastic / aluminum radiators the demand is even lower.
I would check the little dipstick tube seal. That is a little cup rubber seal like a shot glass. They are known to go bad and make it appear like the pan gasket is leaking. But I would change the pan gasket and the out put seal while I was there. Good Luck.
Well since this is my tread I am always on topic. More destruction of a perfectly good M1028. Oh well it is not mine. I am not doing it either. I did get involved in the rear wheel cylinders, axle seals, new brake shoes. A very sad day at the CUCVRUS camp.I did talk the 2 young men into doing...
WOW. I never seen a dipstick that went into the block. My dipstick goes into the oil pan and connects to the exhaust manifold. I have a few CUCV 6.2 engine blocks laying around if you want to start over and build an engine during the winter months. I liked your analogy of the situation. All that...
Yes after 22 years of owning the same M1009 I would tend to think they are fine the way they came from the factory. After all the hard use and abuse at times I never broke a frame at the steering box. or had any of the issues that are listed. The broken/cracked frame many times comes from...
