When looking in the Air Force Tech Manual it specifically states that either straight viscosity or multi-viscosity oil can be used. For my ambient temperatures on the chart, the 14W-40 is the one indicated. I should mention that this chart includes a very wide range of single viscosities and...
MIL-L-8383 oil is specified for use in the Wisconsin Robin Model 30D36R 3 KW diesel GenSet. This oil is primarily used for APUs in military aircraft that are non-turbine type. I'm looking for a civilian equivalent. I found one document that states that the military phased out MIL-L-8383 in the...
You need to bleed them empty at the end of each day of use. If you have never drained the tanks, they are likely full of water, oil, rust, etc. You may find out that the drain valves are plugged if they haven't been drained in a while. Use a piece if wire to clear the drains when opened if...
This was the part that concerned me. I suspect, however, that they are not much concerned with the public downloading TMs as they are with the possibility of someone trying to sabotage the site.
You are way better off to always scan and e-mail your documents to GL for your EUC!!! Faxes are not nearly clear enough, especially the photo on your drivers license or other IDs.

Ditto on the air in the fuel lines. It might also be a faulty in-tank fuel pump? I had a Deuce do this when in the Army. It was much worse than what you are describing. It surged constantly, even when being driven. The motor pool repaired it very quickly, but I don't remember what was wrong.
If you change your mind about the color, I have a new NOS tan one that I will part with cheap. Send a PM if interested. Another source for new tops is GMA.
Ditto for everything stated above. The MEP-003A gensets are great. I got mine at a GL auction at Ft Jackson, mounted on an M116A2 trailer. I did not inspect prior to the auction, but I highly recommend doing so. I got lucky in that my genset runs and performs perfectly and looks almost new...
I have a TM that I would like to upload to the Resources Section, but I get the message that I am not not authorized for that function. What am I doing wrong?
