My opinion on the whole cucv thing 70's Dodge or 80's Gm the worst of both brands, Ive had 5 blazers and 3 trucks all of them needed constant attention! Fun to drive and play with but for a daily driver or reliable vehicle forget it!!
Bought the herculiner kit from Menards it was $80.00. You just clean the bed and rough up the surface with the pad they give you and roll it on! Its messy stuff flings everywhere i have it all over my arms!!
Mine was doing the same thing, i replaced the vacuum module like kevin said got one brand new gm part for $75.00 off ebay! My other blazer wouldnt shift from 1st to second i pulled the valve body and cleaned it had a stuck spring and piston!
Finally got the dually finished, New paint, shocks, front tires, wiring harness, alternator, starter and fluid change runs like champ!!! Heres some before and after pics!!!
The whole dash harness is different ive had to switch out several due to butchering!! I would buy a engine harness and a dash one, Its easy to switch just time consuming!!!
