6x6 offroad only depends on what type of terrain you want to run in. I can tell you the local ORV near me would be no fun at all in a full sized deuce. Wide open field with small hills, ruts and mud, sure 6x6 would be better.
Ian was sort of a member here. Kinda disapointed he didnt let us know he sold the truck.
I guaruntee that if you had put it on ebay without telling us here on SteelSoldiers someone here would have posted about it within an hour of you putting it online.
Your congressman has bigger fish to fry at the moment. You can write all the letters you want and make all the phone calls you can but its still going to get put at the bottom of the list of things he or she has to look into.
Not that I dont agree with you but like said above, this subject has...
ks, what do you mean? What is it that you are confused about? The winching out from the rear off the front of the truck? There was a good thread about it about a year ago. It will work.
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/33201-more-winching-ops-questions.html It starts to explain how it...
That would be for FM (field manual) 20-22 vehicle recovery.
Google FM 20-22 and you should be able to find a copy since the old site with the TM's is down.
Edit: here you go. http://www.archive.org/details/Fm20-22VehicleRecoveryOperations
On the left side of the page is a list, click on...
Pop your gauge cluster out and check to make sure your gauge is grounded. (it grounds thru the bracket that holds it in place to the cluster panel). On the Deuce I bought a year ago the oil press. gauge was in-op and it was just a grounding problem.
I know a 105 bed is a tad over 9ft when you measure outsite the bedrails front to rear, I dont know how much frame rail you would have behind the cab on a M275.
Maybe a current M275 owner will chime in and let you know.
I dont see why not. Just make sure the bed sits high enough to clear the axle articulation.
If you do get an M275 dont mention cutting it up or your going to hear about it.
Mack, I think you should read through this and see what you think about running the thimble.

Nice find. I looked through their website but couldnt find what I was looking for. I plan to call them monday to see if this part can be sold separately.
This would make selling a trailer much easier.
Sorry Smitty hope you dont mind me hi-jacking your thread.
Do you want actual CARC or just a paint to match what you have? Rapco sells paint that will match. I think you can still get CARC from some Sherwin Williams dealers.

Uh no it isnt. Its to locate the straps/bar that is used to lift the deuce by crane for loading onto ships.
The a frame support cable is attatched to the pintle hitch, with the hitch flipped upside down.

One thing about those valves the Gov. used that I dont like, they operate backwards to what most people are used to. When the handle is inline with the pipe its off and when its 90* to the pipe its open. I always have to double check to make sure mine are shut off.
Looks just like the deuce dumper but the pto set up is on the other side. Theres a guy in a near by town that has that very set up. He mounted a small gas engine behind the drivers side of the cab where the 5ton tool box sits. Works well other than you have to get out of the cab to operate it.
