If you can get them for cheap/free, it's worth a day or 2 on a good high amp output charger. The rep told me that they did research/testing and 7 out of 10 Hawkers that the govt says are "dead" were recoverable and have years of life left in them. I'd go for it.
Until I talked to the rep, I thought the same thing. He said it would take weeks at a low charge to get them back.. He said use an AGM setting at the highest amp setting, and it should bring them back. He said you cant overcharge them..

Just an update on charging Hawkers that I got direct from a Hawker rep. If you have a "dead" one, put it on a battery charger on the AGM setting, at the highest amp rate the charger does. It may take a few times charging it, but the battery should come back. He told me they recovered...
I have mixed thoughts on Aberdeen this year. The social aspect was the same as in years past.. Seeing old friends, catching up on things, comparing new aquisitions... Great stuff.
However, somethings were noticabley different, and not for the better.. There were considerably less portapotties...
Just get there EARLY on Saturday.. Like 8ish... There will still be plenty of vendors there then selling their stuff.. Thats when the best deals are had.
I think Aberdeen is primarily a hobbist show, and not geared torwards the public too much. Some shows like the NJ MTA gear torwards both, as there are things to do for mom and the kiddies (see the displays, etc), and they attract the public on Saturday. I think most people (hobbyists) going...
