Everyone in line for the first 50 sets should have a PM with payment instructions. If I don't receive payment in 10 business days I will put those sets back up for grabs.
And yes - additional sets were made in case anything goes wrong in shipping, etc. I anticipate that those who have...
I run 85 psi daily on my brand new Goodyear MV/T's. Currently CTIS is disconnected awaiting hub seals and new wheel valves but I did already reprogram my (factory) controller to run 85 psi on HWY mode. Higher pressure cuts down on heat and these tires are rated for 95 psi. With the CTIS working...
Watch this on testing voltage drop across your fuses to find the draw. I have some really nice schematics that have some of the circuits color coded if you need them.
They had "drawings" - remember they last made these in 2005. They had to create new tooling.
And as Third notes - it's only there to facilitate centering.
I installed a set on my rear A1R cab latch to evaluate and I'm pleased with the results over the last few weeks.
The locating ring on the bottom of the large mount is a bit shorter than the original, but this does not affect their operation. It's only there to center them during installation...
I drive my 2008 A1R daily. But it occasionally sits for days and has sat for weeks on occasion. I run the 4 battery system - my 6TL's are in good condition and I have the 260A alternator - If everything is working properly the batteries hold a charge no trouble at all for me. Something is not...
45 is pretty low at startup. Most people report 80+ on cold start. There's a current thread right now by a member with a 2001 A1 3126 truck that had VERY similar oil pressure and his oil pump housing was broken. The 3116, 3126, and C7 all use the same pump and CAT redesigned it like 4 times...
I suspect you have an issue with the injection actuation pressure sensor or it's wiring. The low +5v supply voltage code is making me suspect the sensor is going short circuit internally and pulling down the ECM's +5v sensor power supply although that only shows a single occurrence. I would be...
There's obviously a huge market for these. Aftermarket one's are everywhere and are CHEAP. I would not worry about it "working" - I would worry about the metallurgy and the heat treat of the gears and rotors, etc. Longevity might be the insidious killer here and the false sense of security of...
Note that the 3116/3126/C7 all use the "same" pump but there's been redesigns that may result in different part numbers.
If it came off a C7 it will work.
There are TONS of these pumps on ebay also. Here's a 2008 pump that looks nice and you can see it is the gerotor style (makes my hopeful that my 2008 A1R has this style already). Reputable seller by the looks of the feedback. For the ridiculous price I would be tempted to save the $500 or...
Schematics. But you could make it work the brake lights if you tapped into the brake light switch circuit and borrowed the exhaust brake solenoid signal - might be a relay involved to ensure you don't pull too many amps from the exhaust brake circuit. I would have to consult the schematics on...
Yeah I saw that but that's not the sack of buttholes - the pump just drops off the bottom of the engine. The UGLY part is the chipped drive gear tooth because I'm fairly certain changing that requires removing the timing cover.
And it's pieces of those teeth that broke the pump housing - tip...
WOOF! The oil pump drive gear teeth! That's not nice of it.
I would be tempted to just run it (the drive gear, not the shattered pump) but it would probably bother me forever and it could happen again and break another pump.
That looks like a sack of buttholes to replace too. :cautious:
If there are any leaks in the hub seals it will pressurize the diff and can blow the oil out of the breather. The breather is connected to a hose that's routed up higher on the chassis so it doesn't get water inside it when fording. Follow the breather hose and see if the end is wet.
Hub seals...
I'm working on getting Allison Doc to hopefully program the vehicle speed outputs and shift points, etc.
In my basic testing - driving around at 25 MPH my truck stays in 6th gear. It upshifts to 7th gear around 32 MPH which means it will stay in 6th around 50-60. and upshift to 7th around 65...
This PDF contains the performance curves for the C7 defense engines - including the 370 / 930 map that I can flash to any C7 computer:

Exactly. Higher numeric ratios require a lot of small teeth on the ring gear, or a really big ring gear. Lower numeric ratios tend to have big chunky teeth and big chunky teeth are naturally stronger. So on the deuce - which doesn't have the reduction hubs - the R&P ratio is 6.72:1. Compared to...
I agree. Have spares and carry tools.
Anyone scared of the engine computer really shouldn't be - they are ALL OVER ebay for anywhere from $100 to $500. They were used in many school bus applications and with a little work you too can learn to program them - or send it to me and I would be...
