I hope you guys dont take this the wrong way, its not intended as an insult. But you guys that havent done much mechanical maint. sure do pick a big vehicle to start on. But on the other hand it is a great learning tool. Its simple, just bigger, and its gonna need alot of maint to keep it...
Dot5 fades to yellow/golden color after its been in the system for a while.
If you search you can find ways to test whats in your system now to see if its dot5 or not.
They are split rings not split rims, theres a difference.

I know someone here in kansas that would like a bed and frame that is not nearly as rusted as his. He'll give you better than scrap value for sure if its not to bent and rusted.
You have to remember what tyour dealing with, Gov. surplus. I.E. the government and their contractors. Since the parts have to go in a bag the contractor sold the Gov. a bag with a NSN and part number to go with it. :cookoo:
Theres a VERY nice 818 with a sleeper on it here. I cant think of his name right now but its dave something. He pulls a tanker with a cool POW/MIA painting on the back.
