Nice Allis! There is a great book everyone who restores old machinery should read, written by "Sunday Morning" commentator and Allis Chalmers collector Roger Welsch. Very funny read indeed, and it applies to all of us MV nuts, too...

That's because they really didn't implement multi-viscosity oils until the past 20 or so years, if even. I think everyone now runs 15w-40, a friend of mine said that they ran it in their deuces and in the 5 ton (and in their 3/4 ton etc...)

Use C. There are 2 nuts on the bolt labeled in C. Use the one on the inside (closest to the pump) to adjust. The outside nut is the lock nut, tighten it back down on the inside nut once you have the inside nut set.
You turn the screw out to lower the tone. I would expect that turning the screw out provides more space between the diaphragm (contained in the back plate on the horn) and the nozzle, causing the air to vibrate at a lower frequency, thus producing a lower pitch.

Never mind on the oil, I was wrong, as I had suspected.
For the grease, just get a couple of tubes of the usual Heavy Duty stuff. I get mine at Northern Tool. If you have an air compressor that you can bring with you and run it, I would recommend going and getting an air-powered grease gun...
