    Checking Transmission Oil/Fluid Level

Okay, where/how might one check the level of the oil/fluid (what is the correct term for it?) in the standard M37B1 transmission? It doesn't like shifting from 1st to 2nd, and it isn't just me. (and yes, I know that it isn't synchro'd 1st and 2nd gear.)

Suggested paint colors for Deuce (other than OD or camo)

This is a reconditioned 812 (yes I know its not a deuce) that was done fabulously by Eastern Surplus. Truck ain't mine, and the piture is from Eastern Surplus's Website...

Suggested paint colors for Deuce (other than OD or camo)

I have seen several trucks in white. Both gloss and flat white look very good on deuces, and offer a variety of options as contrast colors. My favorite is White with Black accents. It looks very professional. To me, SemiGloss OD doesn't cut it for a fleet vehicle.

    Drove around a bit today...

Wow, that works perfect! I recall seeing a Youtube video of a guy who mounted his camera up in the bed of his deuce. Was that you, or am I thinking of someone else?

    A day in the park

Looks like y'all had fun! The NDTs on my M37 got gummed up while moving it around for 5 minutes while doing some excavating around the barn. They're a pain sometimes. Your pictures make me want a deuce even more! Anyone got one in decent condition for free!?

    Florida Rally Parts Thread...

citizensoldier, you wouldn't happen to have any M37 throttle cables that go on the dash? Mine was removed and replaced with of all things an hour meter. If you do could you PM me what you'd want for it? Thanks ken

M35A2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TECHNICAL CHALLENGE

I don't know what y'all are willing to go through, but I made a post a week ago or so in the deuce hotrodding section about exhaust brakes. You can already get ones the right size for Deuces as take offs from like Isuzus and stuff. Perhaps that would be easier than digging all around for these...

    Looking for a deuce tractor

Hope you are able to get something you'll enjoy both driving and maintaining. It has been established that you don't need a CDL if you use it for "recreational" purposes, so depending on whoever's particular interpretation of "recreational", you shouldn't need a CDL.

No problem. I saw that, but I thought it meant that you still needed one. And of course I skipped like 2 or 3 posts too...

What is the minimum height of a M35A2?

Don't worry (or worry). You'll melt long before your truck.

    Oshkosh Recovery (UPDATE!)

That is one fine looking truck. Glad it runs good too! The towing modification on the back of the 816 looks very original and effective. Very handy!

    Looking for a deuce tractor

Did I read correct that you DO NOT need a CDL for a 5 ton tractor?

    Looking for a deuce tractor

Shoot. you're in the wrong side of the country. I don't know if its still there, but there was a Deuce tractor I drove by in the western part of Columbia County, New York, this summer. I think it was 10 minutes up 9H or 9G from Dutchess County. All I know is that it was at some parking lot...
