That Cummins NHC 250 is a beast. They sound real purdy, and have more than enough power. As long as you are willing to lift and haul the parts for a 5 ton (most are big) and pay for the parts, you should be fine.

Just reading through this thread, and I noticed you're out of Dutchess Co, NY, there Recon. Whereabouts up there? I spend my summers up in Rhinebeck and Red Hook.

I don't believe pressure will build up until you are completely done. You will probably pull the hubs and drums and take a look. I think that you should go with the 816. The Cummins NHC 250 engine is a horse and a half, and I guarantee you that you will find yourself doing more than just personal recoveries and moving junk around the yard.

Wow. These beasties look like fun! Until you have to pay for them. Bit too big for me- but they sure seem to be capable of overcoming whatever you throw at them!
