Yeah, every time I get a "change in user agreement" email from them it is making it less convenient for the customer, So I doubt they will be handing out frequent buyer miles anytime soon:roll:
Usually the days are always a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Marcus has to come out from over an hr and a half away. I have been out there three times now and he only showed up once. The first time the guys that were loading out got let onto the base after a wait and then loaded their trucks...
You have to call Marcus at fort Knox for the loadout appointment. He has developed a notoriety for not showing up and if he is not there you don't load out.
There is no assistance with loading, but they will slave them off for you if a HMMVW is available. Last day I was out there when people...
The paranoia has spread to ebay. There is a truck on there now that says "get one now, the government has stopped selling these"
But it hasn't affected price much it looks like. The ones that are started low with no reserve are still only selling for 2500. anything over that is not selling...
It is nice of them to keep all the invoices for us. My firsts purchase from them was in Sept of 03, my total to date is only $7206.28. Stuff was cheaper when starting bids were 35.00.
Basically the code change is going to stick, but the implications of that are yet unknown. (could me destruction, could mean they will sell them and not require an EUC) TSC is still processing EUCs on them because they have not been told to do otherwise. GL is supposed to be holding the...
Update from DRMS
Brad
Your submission to DRMS regarding your recent purchase of an M-Series
vehicle from Government Liquidation (GL) has been forwarded to the DRMS
Sales Office for direct response to you.
At the current time, the DEMIL Code change to "F" for the M-Series
vehicles is being...
There is one at the bottom of the fuel pump, it is called a foot valve and it keeps the fuel from draining back into the tank. That is probably the most likely one as dirt can get sucked into it and hold it open. If your fuel pump is bad replacing it will fix this valve or you can try and flush...
If you are considering buying from GL be sure to go to that section of this forum and read up. It is not a normal kind of buying experience and if you read a lot on all the bad that can happen, you will be prepared for the worse. Like the wait between the time you spend your money and the time...
You can only hear the fuel pump if you are standing by the tank. A bad pump should not impact starting. I would guess dirty fuel filters or a check valve is stuck open.
What is the PSI in a tire on one of them?
Having seen damage from blown tires before I think this pic is consistent with the story. I have seen the little 16 inch trailer tires completely clean the fender off of a utility trailer when it blew. Also saw a vending trail parked on the side of the...
I am guessing that by the looks of the other trucks around her they are going to cannibalize her and then scrap what ever is left. Maybe the hood or grill will end up on GL in a year or two:razz:
It is amazing that a blown tire can total out a HMMWV. I talked with a MP on base to find out what happened to it and he said they took her out and brought her back with a blown tire and a tore up fender and rear door. She is going to scrap.
Thought you guys might enjoy the picture.
I had my appointment to go out and look my trucks over. I just slipped in last time, didn't have an appointment. Anyway like I suspected he was not able to be in both places and did not show up in Frankfort. Luckily the guard at the gate was the same guy as last time and he recognized me and let...
Wow, that was fast turn around for a first time EUC.
I wonder how Marcus plans to be in two places at once today? He is supposed to be in Frankfort today.
Been there, tried that, didn't work worth a damn, not from wood anyway. Their web site also says that the Stoddard Solvent speculation is incorrect.
Also just received this email from their customer service dept:
Thank you for contacting the WD-40 Company. We appreciate your interest and...
He didn't post a link or anything and even abbreviated "Government Liquidations". With the way other threads go he should have posted a picture of the exact lot he was talking about. God knows we love pictures.
If he posted "I saw these on GL and thought somebody here would be interested in...
