    pressurewasher sandblaster attachment

...and what is this? Says it's a lance that can be used with the sandblasting attachment.

    pressurewasher sandblaster attachment

Would I be crazy to try and take my M109 down to bare metal using one of these sandblaster pressurewasher attachments with a 2600psi / 2.6gpm pressure washer? I have access to a regular sandblasting setup, but I really like the idea of working with wet sand (less dust!).

    Striping down 2) m35 & 2)m109 for parts

Great! Just to be clear, I need the actual window frame (the part that's riveted into the box), along with the window. You know, so I can cut a hole into the wider of the two back doors and mount the window/frame in there. Please send me a PM to let me know how much you need for those parts...

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

I found a complete air-shift transfer-case (actually someone just saw my posts and gave me a heads-up via. email). I gotta go pick it up in Portland, but it's complete with the dash-mounted air-shifter and even includes a hydraulic PTO unit. Super-stoked to have some parts lined-up to fix this...

    Striping down 2) m35 & 2)m109 for parts

If you're pulling parts off the 109 box, I need one complete window assembly (including the frame - I want to put it in one of the back doors).

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

Huh. So what am I supposed to do about replacing the seals under the bolt-heads? Have to order those separately? Seems like the best solution might be to order Jatonka's spin-on adapters...

    Real Hot-Rod Deuce!

I've never seen those before, but that's exactly what I was thinking about. Should have guessed that somewhere out there people were already chopping up big trucks.

Those who have/will buy at Ft. Sam (SAT)

    That's a great idea.

    Real Hot-Rod Deuce!

I can see it. A BIG nasty ratfink-style hotrod. It's already kind of cartoonish. I'd be maintaining 6WD, but using some HD civilian axles in conjunction with the sprag T-case. And for wheels/tire, OTR highway tires on ALCOA's would scale just about right (skip the whitewalls though...). You...

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

Oops. I was reading the dipstick cold. I'm just getting into the service manuals now, as I'm, er, um, getting around to servicing it. I thought I was attending to the basics, but that makes me feel like kind of a dummy. I edited my original post to add some more questions and post some pictures...

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

How much oil should I be able to drain though? Because the dipstick read FULL, but there's on;y about 3.5-4 gallons in the 5 gallon bucket I've been draining into.

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

That's the thing - there's not going to be a 'next' oil change. At least, not any time soon. I am going to be running a Spinner II centrifuge though, so maybe you're right. Maybe I shouldn't sweat it.

changing fluids, fliters & chasing down leaks

I started this thread in order to ask a few more specific general maintenance questions without taking another thread (about service manuals) off-topic. I was asking for help finding service manuals that addressed changing fluids and filters (oil, fuel, coolant, etc.). Recovry4x4 directed me to...

    TM index -

Thanks for the link. I actually downloaded and used that LO to lubricate all the zerk fittings on Mah Deuce (by the way, Lincoln's air-powered grease-gun is AWESOME). But I was hoping to find a manual that gave something closer to step-by-step instructions for changing the fluids and filters...

Looking for some help here guys. I need to find an air-shift transfer-case ASAP.

So, which TM/LO goes into changing all the fluids and filters? TM 9-2320-386-24 on tpub.com seems to, but I can't find that in the resources section here on SS. Am I missing something?

Figured I might as well post links to the TM's you recommended. right-click, save as: TM 9-2320-361-10 TM 9-2320-361-20 TM 9-2320-361-20P TM 9-2320-361-34 TM 9-2320-361-34P

    d turbo for a c turbo

I guess it just depends on how much you drive it, and how much that novelty is worth to you. I'm just trying to make my M109 a little more civilized (OK, a LOT more civilized) because I'm living in it and consequently, will be logging a lot of miles in Mah Deuce.
