It does the pressure check and then a quick vent out the release valves. A leak is detected. Put your hand on each of the rear wheel valves. They are pressure held on a stem coming out of the hub. The bracket dosnt do much for them. Centrifugal force pulls them off the stem and you have an air...
The air dryer is good to change or service. It is not causing your ctis problem though. If the system starts with hwy flashing and when you have around 120psi it does the pressure check and you get 5 flashing lights the system is probably detecting a large air leak. Check the rear wheel valves...
A bad hub seal will do that. It tricks the mechanical valves into thinking its air dump time by diluting the fill air pressure sent by the controller/cab valve.
Rear wheel valves slip up ftom the hub stem. It's a bad design. You need someone at the wheel to listen for air leaks when the system is pressure testing. If you hear a siren sound then it's a bad hub seal. You should also check and make sure someone didn't block the system off with schrader...
The ctis air lines maybe. But the lines shouldn't take in any water they should be well sealed to begin with. The older trucks water makes its way into lots of places. The lmtv appears to be better sealed. I would raise the exhaust up a bit if you are planning to go in deep water. Although the...
The hubs themselves nor the axle are pressurized by the ctis. There is just a pass thru between two seals. I believe the lmtv is pretty water tight. You would have to do 2-3 psi pressure into the axle vents and anywhere else you think water will infiltrate. The front hubs are independently...
Not gonna happen. The u joint isn't coming out without damaging the yoke without a tool of some sort. Any damage to the yokes can cause catastrophic drivetrain failure down the line.
I won the other one. I have a few of these kits I dont have the disc in mine here though. The m939 stuff is online already there isnt much for that kit to do on a m939 truck that you cant do with a multimeter. Its more for computerized trucks. It dosnt really do much for my first gen lmtv...
I know that truck. The cab paint looks original so the cab was probably replaced at one time. The tag may have been replaced with the cab but this is how the truck came from GP.
The system sends around 12psi to hold wheel valves open to air down tires. If you can set your manifold to do this you may get more even pressure in the tires.
The cab floor valve can be rebuilt with new o rings. Common a2 truck issue is the fuel line from the big canister to the lift pump. They wear thru. Gotta be an air leak somewhere. Can't be that big of a leak if the truck runs ok once you do get it primed. Might as well replace the filters while...
