I know nothing about the c7 or valve lash adjustment. But the fan clutch is kept off with air so if you drain the air system the fan clutch should be engaged.
I just put in for a title with GP they sent me a form to fill out. Like GL did where they use MY correct information not their own. Let me put what I wanted for gvw also.
I like to use 3m electrical tape over the bundle. If you are running wires you might as well run a few extra for down the road. Tape the bundle then loom over and tape over the loom.
Be brave run a wire its really not hard. Lots of room under the truck to crawl around. I use a piece of cardboard to sit on. Drain all the air first and chock the wheels just to be safe though.
Lockers, big tires help in mud. The axles don't like mud, water can get in when sitting in muck. The truck just wasn't designed to go thru mud. Some light pressurization in the axles like the fording kit does would probably help. Fording water and driving thru mud is closely related. I bet a...
M939 trucks are great for carrying a really heavy load down a dry dirt road. If you need to get artillery shells from your supply point down that bumpy dirt road and across a fire fields to your field battery then it's up to the task. Its not really set up out of the box for mud.
Some marine corps trucks came with rear lockers. I don't believe any of them were a2 trucks. You have one legs all around. Unless you engage the front axle via dash switch or put the tcase in low range the front axle is free. It won't sof engage with rear slip.
If the fluid is fine and everything else appears in order, I would do a service on the trans. Replace pan and spin on filter. Having the Allison dealer do the service may be a good idea. There are replaceable parts when they drop the pan to change the filter.
I did mine last year. I ran a bundle up following the factory harness and ran it into the passenger side of the cab along side a factory wire bundle. No issues. I dont like to use anything wireless I have never had luck with any of it. Once its warm out I am going to do more stuff.
The middle axle has an offset geared input and output. Chances are the ring and pinion are the same. It would just be a lot more work to change the gearing on that axle if you were using a front or rear axle chuck for the parts.
The two styles are not interchangeable I dont know exactly why not though. The m939
and m939a1 use a ross hydrapower box. The a2 trucks use a different brand.
There are 2 different style gearboxes. If the lines hooked up different chances are he installed the wrong one. M939 and a1 use one style and the a2 trucks use a different one. They are not interchangeable.
You can pull off the lmtv ctis stuff the valve stem will accept a standard schrader valve although it seems to stick out slightly more than I am used to.
