An a1 truck the cat dealer can plug in and reprogram. It may be possible for the allison dealer to to the first gen trucks. The trans diag plug is an older style I'm not sure if all dealers will have the setup to connect. It's my understanding that there are quite a few variables in the first...
I have one small box of switches at OKC. I was wondering if anyone was headed there soon. You could probably just tape the box closed or dump into a flat rate box either way I could send a shipping label for it. Will atpawnking dotcom

The trans is electronic and is well known to be very reliable. There is an internal solenoid bank it comes off from the bottom of the trans so it is serviceable. A trans computer, keypad or trans failure would not be something that you could field improvise without parts. The first gen trucks...
I believe at one time way back when the humvees were first being sold off as demil only, the scrapper just had to cut them in half before removal and salvage of stuff like tires and engines was allowed. But some of them ended up welded back together and back on the road. Same as the old jeeps...
If you get the rv one it has a button to turn the monitor on manually and it comes on automatically when in reverse. With the truck light switch on of course or the stock reverse light will not come on. You can add contacts into the panel and add a breaker or tap off one of the switched 12 volt...
You need the rv one with long cable. A small one can mount in back by the tail light. You can rap off the reverse light circuit for a trigger and I have the contacts and clips to add circuits into the panel. If you take the passenger kick off you will see where wires pass thru.
Did you check the fluid level? In neutral running while warm. There is a fluid pressure adjustment. Like a kickdown cable. Its connected to the throttle. Unless its disconnected I dont think its your issue though. After you check the fluid does it look good? If the fluid is dirty or burnt...
I have a small box of switches at OKC maybe 14 inch box 15kbs. Anyone going that way in the next week or so. They would drop in a flat rate box and I could send a label or tape the box closed and I could do a ground label. Will atpawnking dotcom.
Thanks

I have the troop seat belts. They are intended for troop seating in a different mil vehicle but work great in the m939. You can latch onto the spring tie downs on the bed sides. Not good for more than a 36 waist unless you extend a bit. I have them listed on the bay you can see pics there.
They have been recalled for years. Surepower will swap them with the new models. They may grumble about it so make sure you tell them its civilian use. Its a fed recall you could have dug them out of the ground in your back yard they have to exchange them.
I get about 57mph top speed with stock gearing. I would think there would be evidence of recent mechanical work being done if the pumpkins had been swapped out for higher gearing.
Jump 24 volts from the fuel solenoid to the 24v regulator lead. Disconnect the ac lead on the regulator and remove the original 24 volt regulator lead when you do this. See if any change. Intermittent bad regulator leads are common in first gen trucks.
Alot of civ kits on the market have add on pulleys its just a matter of finding the right match. The member with the van truck with original ac may be able to measure the pulley diameter on his. The bolt pattern should be common to all 3116/3126 motors.
Let me start by saying I dont have much experience with the A1 trucks. I have had alot of alternator issues on first gen trucks though. The regulator leads seem to go bad often causing a low voltage situation. The first thing I would do is measure the battery voltage with the truck off and then...
I think the majority of the lmtvs sold off have been east coast Carolinas Georgia area. Less volume out west brings higher prices. You never know what the future will bring. A purge of lmtvs like the Kansas M939 purge would bring prices down real fast.
The lmtv does appear to be pretty capable for what it is. GP has a very wide international audience. And its income tax time. You cant make any real interest keeping your money in the bank so why not spend it on something cool that really shouldn't drop in value too much. I think bidders get...
